I’ve productivity’d too close to the sun. What’s the word for when you’re overwhelmed but need to power through so you can run from being overwhelmed in the future?

I’m reading “Our Missing Hearts” by @pronounced-ing.bsky.social and this is even better than I’d expected. One of the best I’ll read this year.
I talked to friends about seeing it. We were starting to make plans. Now, unless we want to drive out of town, we don’t seem to have options. I wanted to see it specifically because it’s an Asian led and directed buddy comedy.
Joy Ride is one of the only movies I’ve been looking forward to seeing this year. It came out on 7 July— 2 weeks ago. I can’t find it in a theater near me. I *can* find a many showings for predominately white cast movies & tentpole movies.
Two weeks doesn’t give time for art to find its audience.
feels pretty obvious that the Libs of TikTok hate account has been explicitly whitelisted by Facebook to avoid right wing backlash against their new product:
I’m all for* trying “new twitter” options but threads is an immediate no from me— it wants to collect enough data that privacy concerns have delayed a launch in Europe, AND it must be connected to instagram. Where random IRL people exist??? 😬
* I’m actually not, I’m very tired

Privacy is a human right. Remote surveillance is a huge invasion
Who will win? Bluesky or Threads? Neither. Because rich people don't want us to bother them online anymore and are breaking the way the internet has functioned for over 20 years to make sure it's not possible ever again.

Every week there’s a different song stuck in my head. Last week, it was “Better” from the Kimberly Akimbo soundtrack. I guess this week it’s “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman. (Both excellent songs that will get stuck in your head)
Also, another warning to new folks: not only are your posts and replies public, your blocks are, too. If there's someone you don't want people able to know you've blocked, mute them instead.
It’s quite something to see a man overpay for a site to fill the gaping void of his soul and then systematically destroy it, while seemingly believing he is brilliant.
Twitter is being systematically destroyed because
1. Of the hubris of a wealthy, out of touch, white man
2. Because it became a popular organizing tool
3. Systemic issues of the open web. (Reddit blackout anyone?)
