Even if it's not ever as good as you want it to be, it will exist, and it will almost surely mean something to someone.
I just finished Paladin’s Faith (by T. Kingfisher), and I am going mildly feral over that epilogue. Now to wait for Judith’s book…

I have borne a grudge against Jurassic Park my whole life because Deinonychus is my favorite dinosaur, and when Jurassic Park came out (when I was very young, peak dino age), suddenly everyone knew ”Velociraptor” and not “Deinonychus”
I believe that in order to take some small step forward, the word “bird” should be replaced with “saur” in all common names. Mockingsaur. Secretarysaur. Red-winged blacksaur.

Actually we should just give citizenship to every undocumented person in the United States who wants it. Walking over an imaginary line isn't some great moral atrocity. Making people live in the shadows as a permanent underclass absolutely IS.
