That makes sense. I didn't see that mentioned on the website but I also wasn't looking for that.

Oh yeah I would also mention that you already did it 3 years ago and that this is supposed to replace the long form census. Not very representative if it's targeting the same household repeatedly.
You can contact the census bureau to object. Tell them with with the current political climate and the way the government bodies servers have been compromised by other entities recently you're not happy disclosing your private info.

Found the hipster π
Witchcraft and supernatural horror!
Well yes, because we don't shop at Walmart either...like on purpose.
Malicious compliance you say...righto π«‘
@feministbookclub.bsky.social is doing a series of member discussions delving in to "Let This Radicalize You" in small chunks, starting in February
Thought this insta comment might be helpful for some people.
You are likely going to have trouble writing as the news keeps rolling in. I have a free class for you about how to navigate wanting to write in the face of all of this bullshit.
Oooo I live in the bay too! What's your favourite state park around here?
Today, tomorrow, and for many days to come.
I'm writing a piece compiling some Cosy stories. Considering all variations on Cosy including manga, graphic novels, fantasy, mystery etc. Lmk if there's anything lesser known Cosy stories or sub genres you think I should check out!
This weekend I will mostly be reading ARCs and writing for @feministbookclub.bsky.social things I can control and contribute to, rather than other things that might be happening.
Everyone should be π
I have to say, strange Beasts is phenomenal.
Book peeps? I have been summoned!
I came all the way from reddit as fast as I could to enquire about an e-arc πββοΈ
Hello sapph-lit π I'm Mhairie, one of the senior contributors for @feministbookclub.bsky.social congratulations on your imprint and can't wait to see what you pick!
Oh god, yeah. I had pushed that from my mind totally (I'm an immigrant in the US in the middle of the process and I'm not hopeful). Ugh. Thanks for distracting us, I'll be eagerly awaiting confirmation of a horror discussion!
Update: accountable is fucking fantastic.
E-readers! Love them? Hate them? Never had one? I recently switched from a Kindle fire (ππ») to a kobo libra colour and I am hooked. Give me all the e-galleys, I have no more shelf space.
I have clearly missed some stuff but what's the Jan 20th significance? I def have a few horror egalleys I'm looking forward to getting to π
Right! It's a proper Cosy fantasy (there is much debate about Cosy books). I really enjoyed it!
Tell me more about the vegetarian! I'm on something like book 4 or 5. Loving my kobo for reading recently. Of the two books I posted, accountable is great. Didn't love MoTDW though. May end up as the Misc gift at xmas π
What is everyone reading this year so far? I'm currently reading Accountable by Dashka Slater and I just finished an e-galley of Mask of the Deer Woman by Laurie L Dove.
Depends what you're blocking. Lace, it opens up the lacework. Sweaters, it can produce a better fit and make colourwork crisper. Anything with cables, it makes them look neater. Shawls, it defines their shape, can effect drape and allows patterning, lacework or any other details to shine.
