Jaywalkers are dumb. You call me an asshole for not stopping when the legal crosswalk is only a 40 second walk away?
Go fuck yourself.

So happy for her. Cannot wait to see Blue Heron.
Also, if you haven't, check out Still Processing. One of my favorite short films that I watch every few months.
My girl finally got the James Bond theme... for the video game.
Good for her. Follow your dreams, everybody! There's only 24 hours in a... DAY!!!
The Dallas Wings right now.
"Yo! This movie is my life, for real!"
*holds up copy of Malibu's Most Wanted*
Well now, Jane really brought that "You're not the same person you were an hour ago"-ass energy. The stream is chaotic arthouse. Also a good time to admit I only listened to "Revengeseekerz" like two times, three tops. I'm a wimp.
Anyway, goodnight for real this time.
Quickly rounding 100 pages. Can't explain the euphoria of typing out scenes that have been in your head for eight months. The feeling is unmatched.
Okay, goodnight.
Though in fairness, I befriended this kid who looked like the protagonist of Dazed & Confused and the main reason he liked me was because I *knew of* Pink Floyd. He would go on to try and sell a guitar without strings. Funny little guy. Hope he's doing good.
Music's been good over here the past few weeks.
Biggest revelation? I may actually like Pink Floyd now. "Dark Side" is such a fluid listen. Just don't tell the people I made fun of in high school and called stoners because they were clearly right about *one* thing.
Then again, I have next week right? Maybe I'll fit Ninajirachi in after all.
One more note before I go. Been watching Coachella streams this weekend. Holy shit, Slayyyter fucking RULED. Ethel Cain remains ethereal. I keep forgetting how much I like Blondeshell, but her set was fun. Still want to catch Jane Remover and Oklou before they take them down.
Up with Papal.
Finally, I'm just glad these guys are out of high school. They were approaching Stranger Things-levels of remediation.
This past week also maybe has the best blanket spread marketing I've seen. Zendaya's in The Drama. Sweeney just dropped Christie on HBO Max. Labrinth's at Coachella. And Domingo hosted SNL. If you add Elordi's Oscar nomination, the hype machine hasn't been better in eons.
Euphoria time. LET'S GO!!!
After a few extra months of prep work, I'm finally starting my first draft today. Fingers crossed that it turns out decently.
Psyched to see that Criterion Channel has the Sophy Romvari collection available again. Her short films have been some of my favorites on the channel, and I highly encourage everyone to watch Still Processing.
In this month's How I Live Now, it's time to look back at the highs and lows of March, from college volleyball to cabaret shows to the greatness of Jessie Buckley, and finally listening to Patti Smith's "Horses."
It’s been a long and busy day, but I just want to take a few seconds to say some things:
Trans women are women.
Trans men are men.
Trans rights are human rights.
We should just let people live their own lives and find happiness where they can.
Also, Adam Driver apparently gives Robyn a boner, so that's a fun synergy for Girls, I guess.
Today turned out to be a pretty good day. Lots of new favorites here.

LIke, if I had to pick an album with great bass on it, RHCP's "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" would be up there. He was definitely at his peak there. "Mellowship Slinky in B Major" is incredible. I'll never be that good of a bassist, but it makes you appreciate the mountain's height.
Holy shit, guys. I didn't have many expectations for the Flea album, but it's so good. Reminds me why he was one of my favorite bassists as a teenager. He hasn't felt this vital in ages. I love it.

Fun fact: the last time Slayyyter released an album, it was the same day as the arrival of the Midwest princess. What a time to be alive.
I don't know about you, but this may be one of my favorite music release weeks so far this year. There's Courtney Barnett, Snail Mail, Slayyyter, Cannons, and Flea. Probably even more. Now that's a full day of quality music.
Also pumped to see what Daniel Pemberton has for Project Hail Mary. He's become one of my favorite composers in recent years, so I'm sure it'll be a two-hour thrill ride.
Also, is Two Strangers Carry A Cake anything? Title grabs me, but wonder if it's a "serious" musical.
Music's been good over here. Really dig the Lice album. Currently checking out the new Underscores. Given how much "Wallsocket" means to me, I'm curious to see what's been happening in the years since.
I imagine him really getting into it as The Doors' "The End" kicks in.
