Abbott is depriving an entire Congressional District of representation. I vote against the man every time he comes up for re-election.

Apparently the President doesn’t realize how much of our debt the Chinese hold. I remember an episode of Madame Secretary where the Chinese ambassador said something to the effect, we don’t need to go to war with you, we can just call in our loans.

The abuser’s classic playbook is to isolate you from your friends, create a sense of helplessness, make it difficult to connect with others and force you to simply think about your survival from one day to the next. We are seeing that playbook applied to the nation as a whole.

And that’s the problem. He’s a billionaire. I know a few people who don’t “need” their checks to survive, but they’d be pissed.
