I've been in a bit of a hobby rut for the past few years, usually only painting half a model before taking a couple month long break and starting over, so having been able to finish a whole unit in a relatively short time feels like a huge accomplishment

Sometimes you're just not happy with how the model was glued to its base, so it's time for a redo.

I turned the model a bit and angled it upwards. I think the result looks good, if a bit plain. But it should now rank up better with the rest of its unit

Three more Stormvermin join the fray! I'm now just one rat away from having a whole front rank of a unit ready.

I painted these using the assembly line method. Tried painting more at a time but found three to be the sweet spot for me.

Thankfully losing is very in-character for the Skaven so I don't mind too much, haha!

The Engineers are probably my favorite part of the range too. Super characterful models!

Thank you! I was very lucky that my sister still had her half (the Skaven) of this starting box still stored and that she let me have and paint them. They don't look too bad mixed with the newer models either!

I've never been good at working with metallics, so of course I had to go with a chapter with silver as the primary colour. I'd also recommend everyone to change the water in their water pots after working with metallic colours. Unlike me here.

Now all I need is a couple hundred purity seals.

Space Marine 2 inspired me to paint up a quick test scheme for this yet-to-be based Angels of Iron tactical marine. Honestly can't believe it's been over a decade since I last painted a Space Marine. Feels like I've barely improved since 😅
