All we need to do is apply a requisite amount of thrust.

Like, I really didn't think we were doing anything in Venezuela, that it was just talk.
Jesus Christ I really need to keep up with the news.
It's comparing the current margin of generic congressional ballot polling (question which asks if you'll vote for a Democrat or Republican for Congress, without referencing candidate names) with this time 2 and 4 years ago.
Can't overstate how fucked up it is that unraveling what is arguably the greatest achievement in the history of humanity is now a motivating issue of one of the two dominant parties in the U.S.
Anybody I might know?
IMO, it just seems like a rationalization to the disgust he feels about AI art. He's smarter than most about it, so it's slightly more nuanced, but it's basically the same thing that most artists complain about.
Anyway, hysterics aside, I sort of agree and question why business hours remain so similar to each other. There's parts that make sense (daytime-adjacency, we're likely too religious for Sunday to be included) but others that don't (issues with regular international meetings, nothing's open).
Oh God, oh no. How did I let it get this far without realizing it? "Capitalist media"? Mitch! Come back to us!
I don't like being rude and telling you to do something so basic as to Google something (and in that case because I didn't get the full message I couldn't look it up myself). But fair enough, you can always try looking at crash logs, but IME they're only so helpful.
I take it you've tried looking up the message to no avail?
That's very odd. I've dual-booted for years with no issues of the sort. Does it have some kind of message saying "You need to reset your PIN for blah blah blah reason"?
I always figured with half of these investments they're just bored and looking for random vanity projects to occupy their time. The other half being attempts at image rehabilitation.

Everytime I hear you complain about your job I just start imagining these people. "Yeah, I come from 3 states away and I'd like to trade in this go-kart, half a lawnmower, and some PVC pipe for this 2006 Hyundai Sonata."
JUST IN: Trump launches a $15 billion lawsuit against the New York Times — naming reporters Peter Baker, Michael Schmidt, Susanne Craig and Russ Buettner — because he doesn't like what they have written/reported about him. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
You should see how they play chess in porn.
I got something like 1fl oz/10000 mi but I think I might be underestimating the effect of power consumption on fuel efficiency.
I like the idea, I might do that next time.
Is this ROT13?
What's the tl;dw?
Just because it's real doesn't mean it's not a weird game designed to torture you.
I agree with this in theory, but in that case the survey should've probably also included other potential reasons (including, but not limited to sexual orientation/gender identity) to cut people off because I think otherwise this data is ultimately missing context.
According to this person later in the thread it seems to be "will to enact policy irrespective of law or authority".
I think the president just plainly stating that he's firing the person who produces economic data because he doesn't like the numbers officially pushes us into a new era where you just can't believe government data anymore.
Someone you care about suffering from psychosis? That's just about the only scenario I can see an overlap.
I think it was originally like second class seating (as distinct from first class and economy/coach) but made to sound more palatable to the people who actually flew it (who I believe were usually actually businesspeople because they'd get prioritized and that's useful when delays matter).
It feels like there's more to this than meets the eye, because there's been other incidents that are similar. Part of me wants to try and investigate, but I'm lazy and wouldn't know where to begin.
