I’ve used my 10minute of skill. I’ve gone back to the canal. I didn’t have the patience to fudge the removal of the River Thames.

And pop in some of the famous Birmingham canals.

What a good read, to say I’m looking forward to reading the next installment already would be to gloss over all the wisdom contained within this one but to boil it down just to my take would be too reductionist.

Mori Yuzan and Hamonshu: Japanese Wave Designs Mori Yuzan's "Hamonshu: Japanese Wave Designs," not only showcases his innovation but also underscores the enduring significance of wave motifs in Japanese culture.

Stumbled across Mori Yuzan’s wave design series via the internet archive - this link works on mobile theartofzen.org/mori-yuzan-a... which resonated really deeply. Beautiful.

Building bridges across boundaries — Part two Implications for changemakers when forging new and different paths in uncertain times

This blog post is a messy, imperfect, and personal reflection. I am sharing it nevertheless.

Afternoon all :)

After 5 years in my role in Defra, I'm going to be leaving this June to take up a new role as Director General of Civil Service Reform and Efficiency in the @cabinetofficeuk.bsky.social

Only a couple of years ago did I find out that in the Civil Service you can bring someone in at risk I.e. before the security checks are complete.

Also always more than happy to help anyone in understanding internal coding in the Civil Service (well as far as I understand it at least).

Pondering about what my recipe for creativity is
1. Save energy for it
2. Look back at past projects
3. Let it happen any where
4. Be open
5. Be prepared

Yippee, feeling like I need this. More than happy to do 1 and attend many.

I wonder who doesn’t know they need it that needs to know, that someone who knows knows.
