What happened to the train?

He's so beautifully unhinged lately. I loved him so much here: youtube.com/shorts/v3rvl...
Okay CTA. This is a good sign.
Same, but I went to high school in a different country, so my experience was weird.
I remember being invited to b apply for a special program, but it would have involved visiting the campus the spring of my senior year of high school and, uh, that was absolutely not happening.
A bright spot in the news. Firmly believe that right-to-repair suits like these are an irreplaceable part of progressive environmental policy worldwide
I think it probably doesn't hurt that doing actual investigative journalism & research costs a lot more money than just making up nonsense to manufacture outrage.
My archives are also digital. I'm an accountant myself, and I'll print a return for someone on request, but the default for me these days is pdf.
It's the keeping them on paper that gets me. I've got probably thirty years digitally, but none on paper for the past 15-20 years.
My husband has a whole rant about how long we spend teaching arithmetic.
People forget Christa McAuliff & the whole teacher in space thing. It was a really big deal pushed on kids at the time.
And I paid attention to him for years after Moxy Frűvous because I regularly listened to his CBC radio show throughout the 2000s. He was one of my favorite DJs. That's what I get for living in a border town.
Unfortunately, I also have Deeply Conflicted Feelings about Moxy Frűvous, as well, now. Fuck Jian Ghomeshi.
Exactly what I came here to say. Trying to hear this in the voice from the videos is breaking me a little.
I don't see a way to make a true bilevel, fully accessible, long distance train set affordably right now. It's going to be the end of an era.
Rocky Mountaineer does a lovely ADA compliant bilevel observation car, but since the cars are fully independent & separate & it's not easy to move between them, they're only good for short hops with stops for spending the night off the train, which was disappointing.
Yeah, I loved the Budd dome cars on the Canadian, but those upper levels were extremely not disability friendly. The lounge/dome tail car was probably my favorite car in the whole consist, including my fancy sleeper, but access to it was very limited.
The only thing scarier is the IRS.
If I had your number & knew you were talking about That Fucking Bridge, I'd have called you. I have Opinions.
It's also a model year issue. Our 2017 Civic is noticeably larger than our 2004 Civic was & were still annoyed with that. (We've always been subcompact kind of people, probably at least partly because I spent many formative years in Europe & the cars here seem like massive wastes of space.)

I personally don’t think the President should be able to steal from the Treasury to pay co-conspirators using a bogus lawsuit as a vehicle to do so
Take the train!
This makes me think of @donoteat.bsky.social .
I was with you until that last line. Foamer 4 Life! (Just made status with Amtrak again, oops.)
Your Big Mike was labeled? We ordered a big All Bananas box from them & had to guess what variety each was. It was fun, though.
Absolutely. I've always maintained that our ratio of three adults to one child was how we survived the middle school years.
One of my partners feels like this so he says that I'm the perfect partner for him. With me he only has to be in 1/3 of a relationship, which is all that he has the bandwidth for.
Mine has mostly functioned with shared Google calendars & Keep lists & the like. Plus, group chats (Need anything from the store? We made too much soup, does anyone want a quart jar? Who is in for an escape room this weekend?), but we're trying to transition away from Google & it's difficult!
Honestly, every decently sized polycule needs at least one techie willing to handle support for various shared applications.
We are seeing why missile defense can't be treated as a catch all.
And these are just with conventional weapons, if any were NBC, one is too many.
Iron dome, and golden dome are a far cry from safety.
Diplomacy is the best, and only missile defense.
