Musician Prince on stage looking toward the sky

Musician Prince on stage looking toward the sky

His music contained such great insights about issues like poverty, inequality, injustice, racism, and the power structures that perpetuate them. And I feel like he'd have a LOT to say about these trying times. Thank you for your life & legacy, Prince.💜

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world.

Look at each face...think of the love, hopes, and dreams in your family...and multiply that by 90 million.

As American taxpayers, every American bomb that drops has our names on it.

Let's pray that Trump considers the hard and human reality of “collateral damage”...

A madman has control of the most powerful military in the history of the world and the leaders of his party are too afraid to say or do anything to stop him.

The President of the U.S. The man with the nuclear codes. And people are just going to pretend this is ok.

In a functioning society, he would be removed from office within hours by his own party.

“Let those who have weapons lay them down. Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace. Not a peace pursued by force, but through dialogue. Not with the desire to dominate the other, but to encounter them.” — Pope Leo XIV

Trump’s comments about the war in Iran have been contradictory, confusing, or outright false. Last night’s speech was no exception, @sbg1.bsky.social writes. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/M2ikVY

TOMORROW: Be a part of history! Show the world that the majority of Americans oppose the most corrupt, inept, criminal, orange "president" in U.S. History.

NO KINGS. Also: NO SERIAL LIARS/CONVICTED FELONS/ADJUDICATED RAPISTS & NO ILLEGAL WAR IN IRAN

Be there. Make your voices heard! 🇺🇸 ✊

Better rule of thumb: Don’t believe ANYTHING Trump says at ANY time. Period.

All sentient, ergo non-MAGA, citizens should simply end every text or comment about Mr. Trump with this phrase:

"Thank you for your attention to this moron."

I hold copyright, true. But as these are hard times for all of us, it shall remain unenforced. It is the people's insult now.

This is well said. The only reason he lost this case is because what he did annoyed some rich people. Every time he does something that takes away the rights of the rest of us it will be either a 6-3 or 5-4 decision in his favor.

Alysa Liu Is Skating Again, Her Way This Time

Her father fled China because he organized student protests during Tiananmen. He was a political refugee. The story of this family, and Alysa Liu, would have played out very differently today. This is what we're losing. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/19/w...

This is the interview Donald Trump didn’t want you to see.

His FCC refused to air my interview with Stephen Colbert.

Trump is worried we’re about to flip Texas.

Thankfully, I think most people understood & received the message of love, history, unity, pride, joy, & celebration. And the ones who didn’t are missing out & missing the point. 💗🎶💃🙏🏼🤩

I wrote this article last week and, luckily, it still holds after the Benito Bowl:

“I believe Bad Bunny’s performance will invite people to understand the beauty and complexity of our people’s history, even if it makes outsiders uncomfortable.”
