Just a kid who got way in over his head and didn’t realise how dangerous a situation he was in until it was too late.

Wasn’t sure about this at the start but I’m glad that I stuck with it. Unlike anything I’ve ever read. Absorbing and beautifully written if a little confusing at times given the multiple POVs. 💙📚

Bitch I will beat your ass
Cartoon of man exasperatedly throwing his hands up and saying "I guess"
Millions of lapsed Catholics realizing that they have become realigned with the Pope against their will
Immersion was accidentally left on all day so possibly that? We’ll have to test again tomorrow and then check!
Would that be normal if there was nobody in the house at the time? We were both out of home today so minimal appliance use. Like battery fully charged and then goes back to house for no reason?
WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS GAME
as someone in their mid 30s, it’s been fun to watch gambling go from something most people don’t think about outside of vegas to an omnipresent cultural sickness to an increasingly popular target for banning
The music Bayern play when they score is fucking sensational.
Imagine choosing Arsenal sporting over this
Any solar panel nerds here? We got ours installed yesterday and trying to understand the graph. Our battery charged and discharged today but graph says as it discharged the energy didn’t go back to the grid but is put down as energy our house used. Have i interpreted that right?

30. London Falling by Patrick Radden Keefe.
This was brilliant and touching and more emotional than I expected. The threads it weaves between oligarchy, teenage angst, our fascination with wealth and the London underworld are brilliant. One of the books of the year so far. 📚💙
the passive voice store was visited by me and you were known by everybody there

She’s very Lurudite.
Guardian article: "The Artemis II crew made it through 10 days in space together- but could they have survived my first office job?" It's a story about opening a small window.
Almost too intensely Guardiany

If we want the gardai to clear the blockades at the refineries, we’re going to have to do the unthinkable: gently drape a Palestinian flag over one of the trucks
Blocking the Naas Road until the government brings down the cost of weddings with a Wedding Guest Support Package.
The answer forever in Ireland is throw more money at the problem. I accept that something had to give but our blatant failure at investing in renewables has not helped any of this. But also what’s to stop another group doing this again?
Social media misinformation has led us here. People don’t trust media or the government and seem to exist in their own parallel information universe. Nothing good is going to come of this.
Turns out not clamping down on violent protests outside IPAS centres has the effect of letting people believe they can escalate their behaviour. Not doing something about clamping down on the far right has led us here.
I cannot understand why the protesters are still being allowed to block fuel depots. It was reported yesterday that they “facilitated” some fuel to go because it was for emergency services. Like who put them in charge? This situation is beyond farcical now.
You can probably support the working class and demand support for people who are struggling because of capitalist inequality and also not pretend massively bigoted rhetoric and action isn't happening or being Trojan-horsed in under the guise of taking down those in power, by the way. Just a thought.
Can’t believe I’m living in unprecedented times where the Liveline callers will finally get to see the army called in after all these years.
Will be blocking the M4 until my demands for the government to the change to national anthem to Mr Brightside are met.

Sontag really saw where health and wellness was going in terms of the obsession with individualism and capitalism that is expressed through obsession with looks. Clear eyed and precise as ever. 📚💙
