Stripped: The Citizenship Divide New research exposes racist reality of UK citizenship stripping laws that place 3 in 5 people of colour at risk.

A new report by @runnymedetrust.bsky.social has found that 13% of British citizens — including me — are at risk of having their citizenship stripped from them by the UK government.

It rises to 60% of British citizens of colour.

This is absolutely shocking.

This week’s column. Some (not all) of the coverage I have seen of Myles Lewis Skelly over the last 10 days or so has bothered me. It’s clear many of us are still not mindful enough and do not take due care with language and framing when it comes to talking about black footballers 👇🏻

Most know what I think, been saying the same for years. From the black club, to the French club & now the all inclusive club.

When I hear “same old Arsenal always cheating” every week (& repeatedly when playing the leagues dirtiest team) I know where it comes from.

It’s deep rooted biases & isms.
