If memory serves me right then Victorialand is relatively short, so maybe a double bill of that and one of the other? Actually I better check my CDs tomorrow, you never know ๐

It's a very limited choice at this end Marceline and Robert: Victorialand, The Moon And The Melodies, Blue Bell Knoll, and the compilation Stars and Topsoil. All on vinyl ๐
I have to admit to having a very incomplete discography, so I'm not sure that I would be able to meaningfully participate. I'll let both of you know just how incomplete it is later, after work ๐
๐ ๐ Brilliant choice Marceline. It has the makings of a great listening party.
Let's agree to let Marceline decide, as she prompted us back to action ๐
Maybe we could provisionally aim for the second weekend in May, and keep open the possibility of two weekends May ๐
๐ I'm going to be away next weekend and the weekend after, but here most weekends after that. So any weekend(s) in May with the exception of the first weekend. Wishing you both a lovely Sunday.
#NP How I Became A Wave | S/T
Been playing local Cork legend Pat Carey's How I Became A Wave all week. Gorgeous, gentle and quite sublime mix of alt folk and country, accompanied by wonderfully understated strings. Bonus: he's playing a freebie in the local record emporium tomorrow for RSD ๐
Calm before the Record Store Day storm ๐
Brilliant choice Paul. To my ears it hasn't dated at all. One of my all time favourite albums ๐
Significant others come to mind ๐
There's a little bit of depth in all of this new material, which is quite refreshing. The band certainly feels a little reenergised, so the new album will certainly be an interesting listen.

(definitely enjoying the long weekend edition ๐)
๐ It's so good Marceline, it's great that they still have a little capacity for surprise. Between this and Days Of Ash is an album in all but name. They're definitely better when being a little less predictable.
It's a stunning musical achievement Ricky. I'm busy resurrecting my very basic Spanish at the moment as I work through the lyrics (also printed in English). It's been an age since I've been this fascinated by an album. Great to hear that you like it too ๐
๐ ๐ I'll say. I'm just amazed that the spelling is correct ๐คฃ
Unbelievable Marceline. I'm both envious and si happy that you have experienced Melaine live. Wonderful ๐ ๐ถ ๐
#NP Talking Heads | Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live
Half a century old, but this lovely compilation of tracks from the very early part of the band's career sounds so fresh and vibrant. And of course I was always a sucker for the inclusion of a bonus seven inch with an album.....๐
#NP Rosalia I Lux
It felt somewhat appropriate to take the dive into Lux over Easter. First listen and it's musically adventurous and totally captivating, it literally holds you, lifts you up, and doesn't let you go. Looking forward to a deeper lyrical dive. Superb.
Shaking it out Marceline ๐
'Peace to your brother; give and take peace
Tayi, taya, it leaves two feet
One foot extended, snake to the ground
Wave up the earth, one turn around'
๐ We're dancing Marceline. It's a given in my case after last weekend's resurrection. Eternal life beckons etc. ๐

A man of simple and predictable tastes ๐
๐ ๐ ๐ No point in disagreeing with you Ricky on what has been a good record shopping day for both of us. Skipping the bun'n'coffee vibe for pint'n'crisps though ๐คฃ
๐ Don't know it. Guess I'm lucky? ๐คฃ
๐ I'll take that as a recommendation. Next on the list ๐
#NP Weyes Blood | The Innocents
Delighted with this pretty random purchase from yesterday. Having only had And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow, it seems that I need to search out more Weyes Blood music, as both albums are truly superb. That's this evening's listening sorted then ๐ ๐ถ ๐ง
๐ It's only after getting better with time. A genuinely fabulous record ๐
๐ฏ% Eoin. It's really great to experience it on vinyl after so many years. It's a sound made to fill a room. I shouldn't have waited so long ๐
#NP Massive Attack | Mezzanine
First time ever hearing Mezzanine on vinyl and it's stunning. I've had it on CD since it was released, but the vinyl really hits. The album hasn't dated at all, timeless ๐
