I’m still in the return window so I’m returning the first cintiq 16! I would not recommend that one (the one that comes with a pro pen 2, requires an outlet, and has a silly amount of wires)

I haven’t used the new cintiq 16 for art yet so don’t take this as a recommendation, I’m just happy this new one fits in my backpack and I can bring it to a coffee shop and not have to wait for the 1 table with an outlet

will prob replace the pro pen 3 with an old grip pen when the 3 inevitably breaks, I don’t trust the new styluses (styli?)

new 16 on the left, original 16 on the right. and the new one doesn’t have to be plugged into a wall! the one cord plugs into your computer, and the resolution is better, the tablet is smaller overall. the pro pen 3 seems cheap but the hardware is working (for now)

so I ordered the 2025 cintiq 16 and the difference in amount of wires is hilarious

HOWEVER my 12 year old cintiq 22HD grip pen worked great on it, wasn’t listed as compatible but it worked perfectly. anyway i was annoyed at this point, the hardware on the pro pen 2 is cheap and the cintiq had so many damn wires and had to be plugged into a wall at all times-

the stylus they sent me also had faulty hardware, yet another stylus that didn’t register pressure. where is the quality control on the pro pen 2

wacom confirmed the hardware was faulty and they're mailing me another stylus ✨

when customer service asked "have you tried replacing the nib?"

oh gosh no, I got a cintiq 16 on crazy sale (cheaper than refurbished!) with the cheapest stylus option! think it's a pro pen 2?

i purchased a cintiq 16 so i can do photoshop paintings on the go and i got all set up at a coffee shop (waited for the one table beside an outlet) then realized the stylus was broken

taking painting classes is the absolute best. i wish i could be paid to take painting classes full time
