Our chief executive @confedmatt.bsky.social told the BBC today that the ten-year health plan is "incredibly ambitious" that calls for the NHS to do things that have been talked about for decades but not achieved.

Today was a monumental day for the #RightToRehab campaign. In the NHS 10 year plan
Rehab was mentioned 7x and physiotherapy or physiotherapists 4x

Gave a talk on #Unheard today in the Harris Lecture Theatre at Guys today where I used to attend teaching as a medical student on 1998. In fact I have written about my histopath lectures there in the book! Full circle. 💜

I love that strategy Ronan. You can get a walking stick that shoots out a line of light on the floor that works in a similar way in case you don't have someone with you to put something on the floor for you. And you're absolutely right about the brain, clever thing, so many ways it can go wrong

Really surprised, honoured and delighted to discover that Leonard and Hungry Paul has been included as one of the novels on the Junior Cert curriculum. Will be part of the exams in 2028-2030.

What are we reading today?

To be honest, nothing yet, but hoping to steal a few moments with these two 🐕 📘

Leonard and Hungry Paul is possibly the book I recommend most, to the point of being annoying, so I’m really looking forward to digging further into this latest ☀️

Dr Rageshri Dhairyawan talks brilliantly about how women have been silenced in healthcare in 'Unheard' 📚💙

This is often due to the marginalisation of women in science & therefore research

But also how women have advocated & fought back to be heard 🩷

I'm having an incredibly rubbish, no good, stressful day, but the way Bert's Books packed the first installment of my Penguin Archive subscription has pulled it back from the edge. I always appreciate little details like this, and I really needed a smile today, so huge thanks to Bert! #Booksky
