That’s crazy! Curious what the book on the inside was?

Even his violence is more tame than other author’s. I’m not saying authors shouldn’t write violence or use adult language. I’m simply saying that many readers have been attracted to his writing because of his lack of cursing and somewhat cleaner content and they will have less of that in this book.

One small note on Wind and Truth. Sanderson seems to be using a bit more crass language than in his other books. Which IMO is unfortunate and unnecessary as many have been attracted to Sanderson due to his mostly clean content. Nothing R rated, just a bit more than usual.

Starting The Last Kingdom by Bernard Cornwell who was one of my favorite authors last year with Warlord Chronicles!

Yeah, I had some issues with the first half. That’s the reason for Well being ranked so low. The second half was much better. Hero is amazing!

I’ve just read perhaps my favorite chapter in The Realm of The Elderlings so far. It was full of some of the most beautiful writing I’ve encountered. It was chapter 6 of Fool’s Fate titled, Voyage of Dreams. I can’t say more than that because of spoilers but it was so good!

Here are my most read authors for the year. I wish Robin Hobb was higher but got sidetracked from my RotE read earlier this year.

I’m not usually one to experience a book slump but Brando Sando has caused one for me. I can hardly look at a book. 😕

I’ve just started Part 4 in The Hero of Ages. I’ve got to say, most of Sanderson’s female characters across his books tend to blend for me almost like they are cookie cutter models, but Vin stands out for me among his characters. He did a really good job with her.

So good! Especially if you enjoy clean fantasy.

Obviously I meant, epic high fantasy but this also seems right. 🤣

I’m glad I went back. I enjoyed the second half of WOA much more than the first half.

I actually DNFd The Well of Ascension a year ago. I’ve read all the Stormlight books up to ROW. I ran into some spoilers for ROW that connected back to Mistborn so I decided to finish the trilogy. I’m enjoying it a lot more than my last time trying.

I’m excited to get back to ROW after I finish Hero of Ages.
