Nome being on the edge has always been one of its totally unique things to me.
The ability to be out in very wild country, pretty much by myself is something I hold close. But I think that's not gonna last.....

You have many of the same values and interests as me!
And I agree. It seems the emphasis up north here has been only on things that are valued in the capitalist world.

It has changed a lot in the time I've been up here. I kinda hate to say, but it seems to have become more of a resource town....like many people seem to just be here for the minerals and less for the unique qualities of this corner of the world.
