Bristol Law Centre has had another brick through the window. Law Centres are so important, doing unsung work for some of the most vulnerable people, helping to hold the line in the face of the collapse of legal aid.

Hello blusky nimrod !
Also presumably would only be on new cases and so will take ages to filter through
Something but as you say will be totally wiped out . Will be interesting to see any further conclusions from the review….
Hire should be half
The LAA take on funding trainees is ‘ interesting’ some grants linked to housing duty scheme paid in arrears for only about a hire of salary . Firms subsidising the trainees the way we have to prop up any legal aid work . Do believe they tried but so little clue about the financial realities
Also speak to London Legal Support Trust or LCN about work done around this :) I think it’s an excellent idea
Thanks :)
Unsure if the Law Society Gazete is on Bluesky but quoted this week with other law centres! I would like to confirm that my office is tidier than this front page edition.pagesuite.com/html5/reader...
Did the same with red book nothing
Excellent:)
I am so pleased that the Law Centre community manages Hanwell library but it’s sad such an important service is left to volunteers and the many many hours they put in .
I miss spike :(
What a beautiful tribute . I think the Spike linked her is our Welsh Spike. I like to think Spike would be happy that I’m finding all my housing lawyers on here thanks to your posts
For Simon Mullings. A personal note on the unexpected death of an unequivocal improver of life.
