From new Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar's acceptance speech tonight. This is the absolute BARE MINIMUM platform for any Democrat running for President in 2028.

this is a boring take but if we want this from a Dem President in 2029 we need to deliver the type of huge legislative majority Magyar just achieved and not the razor-thin one that Biden was forced to work with.

Magyar will have the votes to reform the constitution and truly unwind Orbán’s corruption.

Magyar now polling third in the Iowa caucus.

Viktor Orban is only going to end up with 27% of the seats in Hungary's parliament.

With the full force and support of Russia, MAGA, and Trump behind Orban, the best they could do was get him to 27%!

Watching BBC vox pop interviews in Budapest and literally every opposition voter celebrating has framed it neither for Magyar nor against Orban but as a pro-European vote. “I’m for Europe.” A few anti-Putin / pro-Ukraine but I watched like 12 in a row say “we voted to show we’re part of Europe.”

I’ll never get tired of watching people in Budapest celebrating getting rid of Viktor Orbán.
