Indeed, they are. A lot of “cheaper” cuts have gotten pricey, including pork belly and oxtails.

The ride down along the west coast of Mexico was fun and uneventful, even through Sinaloa State and Culiacán. If you use common sense and not bring attention to yourself, you’ll stay out of trouble. The DR is not flashy, which helps.

Why are you worried about raw milk? Let them suffer the consequences of their own actions.
Because 1) public health is about everyone, even them 2) those people may give raw milk to their kids which can't advocate for themselves and 3) we cannot concede these small erosion of science
When people argue for formal education (my past self included) as a fundamental cause in public health, I think of the absolute failure of (especially more recent) East Asian migrants/settlers to learn anything about White Supremacy or our history of Black-Asian solidarity/mutual aid from our US ed.

I think one of the biggest concerns I have with a RFK Jr. HHS is how this affects research funding. Will future funding grants on vaccines dry up, even after the breakthroughs in vaccine technologies we’ve seen in recent years (mRNA, viral vector, protein adjuvant….)?
