A 2-3 month purple patch is now the anomaly in this 4 year project & arguably may not have happened if not for a goal scored by an an academy grad to turn our season around & stop what is happening this season then.

1 season in 4 qualifying for UCL & it worth remembering we were arguably minutes away from not turning it around last season. If Fulham away isn’t turned around it could easily have gone like this is going. 12th, 6th, 4th & 7th* . While there’s a self imposed ceiling it gonna be pretty volatile

Given how performative club is (just see this situation & him already getting armband back) & fact he sort of poster child of the project being that first big signing & what his departure would represent then I feel this likely outcome. Keeping him would represent how serious we are in their eyes.

There will better coaches than Rosenior available this summer & so if he can’t turn it around in these last 5 games he must be replaced coz at the moment while he is the head coz it feels like the Lampard interim spell…

For me he has 5 games in the league to save his job otherwise ties must be cut coz we can’t risk a rot setting in further. Until the model changes/evolves then issues will remain & the self imposed ceiling will remain.

There a lot of IF’s in the above point but all the evidence in front of us suggests a downwards trajectory. He seems a nice guy & issues go beyond him but he’s not doing a gd job & think however optimistic you are every supporter could’ve told you this was far too soon.

This is only 8 games but there’s still 5 games to go & if things don’t improve then that’s a third of a season of poor form. IF Rosenior survives that but then get off to a poor start next season then we’d be immediately on the back foot with up to half a season maybe more of bad form behind us.
