How am I just now finding out that Kings Island is bringing back Phantom Theater?

A hand of cards showing a red 4, 8, and 2, a yellow 2 and 6, and a purple five. The red 8 has a grumpy Himalayan cat in the front. In the background a rug ties the game together with wooden cats in yellow, brown, blue, and red marking bids.
I feel like I have to stop playing 9 Lives since I won my 9th play with 9 points.
I liked Spokes. It's a quick racing game & fun puzzle to work out which spokes to swap from your personal wheel to the track. It feels really good when you're able to complete a long chain. I saw some concern on bgg about 1st player advantage, but the 3rd player won & the lead was swapped regularly.
I brought both. They picked Spokes and it seemed to be well received.
Trying to decide between Big Top and Spokes for game night tonight.
Waiting to board the plane to LA with my bag full of board games sitting next to a bunch of girls in full makeup at 6am going to Coachella.
The use of the Beatles' Two of Us was perfect though.
Project Hail Mary was fun, but I kind of wish I had saved the audiobook for afterwards. (I read the book in early 2022 and wanted a refresh before going to the theater.)
Finally getting around to photoshopping some Acquore cards so the Imperial Hotel shares match the purple piece in my wood tile edition and it's a huge pain in the ass for someone like me. I guess I'm just going to deal with pink cards.
I like idea of genres/mechanics instead of specioc games.
I thought it was just a rapid fire release of something, but the dictionary also says it can be a dam which is pronounced bar ij. Now I don't know if it refers to a barrage of water or a barrage as in a dam. I suppose it's both.
I just learned that there are two words spelled barrage and now I'm worried that I sound dumb because I'm using the wrong pronunciation and therefore the wrong definition when I talk about the board game Barrage.
A grid showing the covers of games played in March. Summoner Wars x3, Strike x4, Finger Crane Game Championship x3, Paku Paku x2, Ouroboros Trick x1, Dealt x1, Gulf Mobile & Ohio x1, Kakapo Buddy & Party x1, Clumsy Room Maids x1, Giants Moving Tiny Furniture x1, Tchu Tchu Train x1, Ticket to Ride x1, Two Pants x1, Deku x1, Banana Governance x1, Tricky Landing x1, Magical Athlete x2, Change of Heart x1, 9 Lives x1, Santa Claus Takes the Intercity x1, Rhodesian Railways x1, Age of Steam x3, Big House Millionaire x3, Unpublished Prototype x1, Loopin Louie x3, JinxO x1, Roll & Write Railroads x1, Rise of the Metro Tokyo x1, Bus x1, Mogul x1, Streetcar Suburb x1, Fractal Tricks x1, Schnipp & Weg x1, Gads Hill 1874 x1, Saika Banrai x1, Sweet Takes x1, Bridge City Poker x1, Fellowship of the Ring Trick-Taking game x1, Hot Streak x1, Ego x1, The Hobbit There & Back Again x1
Lots of March plays. Ego, sweet Takes, & Fractal Tricks didn't hit, but everything else was pretty good. I laughed more during Giants Moving Tiny Furniture than in any other game since the anchor incident playing VOC! @ Splotter Con 2024. Bug House Millionaire is easily my favorite real time game.
“NO KINGS.” Three panels in punky bright colors with some grungy textures. The first panel shows a chessboard with all pieces except the kings. In the second, a hand of playing cards forms a royal flush but the king's card is blank. The third panel shows the board game box of The King Is Dead.
New comic! No kings, please.

Saw my dental hygienist's face for the first time today and it was weird.
The Age of Steam Korea map in the final round of the game covered with track tiles and discs.
My last Age of Steam of the weekend was Korea. The cubes on the cities determines the colors they accept. I played terribly, but I really enjoyed the map.
I like it. It's an express map do is only 6 rounds. You have boats that can be loaded with goods and move through the canal for extra income. I've only played it twice at 4 both times and that felt like the right number of players.
The NYC & Erie Canal Express Age of Steam map covered in track tiles, discs, and cubes.
Also another Age of Steam. This time it was NYC & Erie Canal Express.
6 hands around a copy of Loopin Louie, but with 8 paddles and 2 planes attached.
Got in a couple games of 4 player, 2 handed, 2 plane Loopin Louie last night. Hopefully we can get a full 8 player game in today.
I don't know if it's a record, but it's definitely longer than usual.
The Age of Steam Ukraine map during the last round of the game before deliveries. Almost the entire map is covered with track tiles marked with yellow, green, blue, and orange discs. Most of the cities have two cubes or fewer sith the exception of a red city at the top of the map.
My first play of Age of Steam since November.
This year's Dayglo exhibit theme was Psychedelic. This was my favorite painting. There were so many small details and it looked great under the black lights.
I thought my dog was scared to go outside because of high winds, but I just read that there have been 6 Bigfoot sightings in the next county in the last five days.
Michael Shannon sings with a backing band with blue and white lights shining on the stage.
Kind of weird listening General Zod perform R.E.M.'s Superman
Image reads: $70: You take your family out to a celebratory dinner, one thing leads to another, and now you've got a whole Batman thing going on.
I think we may have found the darkest Hot Streak outcome.
Just did 2 miles pain free!
An unexpected souvenir from Japan was patellar tendonitis which has made running more than 1.5 miles difficult for rhe last year and a half. I've tried rest, physical therapy, and oral nsaids. Today I'm trying diclofenac gel applied before my run and I really hope it works
A grid of board game covers titled February 2026. Summoner Wars 6 plays (203 all time) and Agent Avenue 3 plays (3 all time)
February was my slowest month in awhile. I missed a game day due to vacation and another was canceled due to illness.
Geekgroup changed and now i can't seem to edit the details of the playgrid on my phone. 😕
A red 1950s pinup girl (Fire Brandy) with devil horns surrounded by flames looms over a locomotive with a cat (Princess Donut) wearing a tiara, a feathered dinosaur (Mongo), and a man (Carl) wearing heart boxers, spiked knee pads, a cape, and vest walking along the side.
Got a new shirt to wear to my next train game convention.
