Happy to share "Too little land, too many people: Italy, Clarence Gamble, and the global population control movement (1950s–1970s)" out now in the Journal of Global History.
Huge thanks to the peer reviewers for not being too brutal!

Conferencing at Venice University with Chiara Bonfiglioli, @walterbrtoscano.bsky.social , and others of the WO-NAM project, discussing the non-aligned movement, liberation and social justice from Yugoslavia and Cuba to Egypt and India.
Many thanks!
I’m pleased to share that my article, "‘Work locally but think globally’: The Alliance Against Women's Oppression and transnational multiracial grassroots activism in the 1980s," is now available open access on Wiley’s website!

About last week, when we kicked off the video-making process for the WO-NAM database of oral history interviews with women active on the left during the Cold War. Together with SMK Factory, we interviewed Castellina, Ada Donno, and Giancarla Codrignani! More soon!
Dear all: I’ll be in the Big Apple from January to February, and I’m looking to interview some #BLM activists. Do you have any suggestions on how to get in touch with them? I’ve already sent several emails but haven’t received any responses.

Apparently we Sicilians are everywhere, including in Boston
I am happy to announce the release of my new scholarly journal article!
It draws from my work on the history of the Unión Nacional Sinarquista in the United States.
Author of “Pantere nere, America bianca” (Black Panthers, white America), the first Italian book on the history and political thought of the Black Panther Party. Now working on my second book (in english) on the history of the Third World women’s Alliance. Working on Population Control history.
Yayyy! Thanks!
Could you add me if there is room?
As part of our AHRC funded network #Womensgrassrootsactivism we have organised an online seminar on the too often overlooked grassroots activism of Chinese women in post-war Britain. Join us for what will no doubt be a fascinating panel on Tuesday 3 Dec. 12.30pm. Link to register below 👇🙂.
May you add me?
That’s true. Although I don’t think that RFK Jr will have room enough to proceed with many of the things he said. I was thinking about his railing against chemicals in food. Part of Trump’s support arrive from big food, and I don’t think RFK Jr can easily attack these industries. But maybe I’m wrong
When possible, unfortunately
Having good time in Boston talking to Judy Norsigian and Norma Swenson, two of the 11 co-founders of the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective and co-authors of “Our Bodies, Ourselves”
Yup
How to write a resumé:
Is somebody creating a starter pack on U.S. history?
Lol, what a horrible combo
I’m just trying to figure out the topic of their conversation
Gosh, I’ll miss working here.
Yo, I’m new here. I’m Walter, Italian postdoc in U.S. history at Ca’Foscari University of Venice. I’m working mostly on Black History, Gender History, and Cold War History. If someone wants to chat on these subjects, let me know! I’m still trying to understand how this social media works.
