I was treated to a spectacular bit of gaslighting by Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer, David Markus, over this post. I have a zero-tolerance policy for both gaslighters and mansplainers—habits that frequently overlap—so I’m sharing some thoughts. Please spread the word. Thanks. youtube.com/shorts/uMb82...

DOJ’s criminal prosecution of the Southern Poverty Law Center is an escalation of its war against political enemies. It’s not about getting a conviction—it’s about spreading misinformation. youtube.com/shorts/vXk_G...
Today, Senate Republicans once again made their priorities clear: instead of working to lower costs and making everyday life more affordable for Americans, they are hellbent on providing a blank check for Trump’s lawless ICE & CBP operations.
My full statement:
Trump’s true agenda…
Kash Patel should be seeking help and treatment, not serving as FBI Director.
Tonight, Senate Republicans will begin the process to give Trump’s mass deportation operations another $140 billion.
@democrats.senate.gov will be on the Senate floor all night to show how Republican leadership is putting their anti-immigrant agenda hatred over American families.
Congressional Republicans made the largest cut to SNAP in history last year.
Senate Democrats just gave them another chance to reverse this terrible decision as Americans face rising grocery prices.
But Senate Republicans voted it down and refused to help Americans put food on the table.
School should be a place for learning, not a place where students are hungry. But Senate Republicans just voted against funding school lunches.
Trump’s tariffs and his reckless war with Iran have increased prices for all Americans over the past year.
But when Senate Democrats tried to support Americans struggling because of rising costs, Senate Republicans voted it down so they could give money to mass deportations instead.
There is no excuse. None.
Republicans have the votes, they have the power—and tonight they are choosing, deliberately, to do nothing for families and everything for ICE.
It’s past 3 AM and they’re jamming through $70 billion for ICE and $0 for families.
Spread the word.
It's 2 AM. Republicans are pulling an all-nighter to shovel $70 billion at ICE—and can't be bothered to spend a cent to save health care for the millions of Americans who can't afford insurance.
Shame on every one of them. I'm voting NO.
Trump's budget isn't a MAGA budget. It's not even a MAHA budget. It's a war budget—and I'll be ripping it up and writing a new one.
If you're wondering why the Senate is in session at midnight tonight, it's because Republicans are trying to jam through at least $70 billion for ICE with no accountability.
$70 billion for ICE. $0 to help families. $0 to help lower costs.
What a disgrace. I'm voting NO.
For millions of parents, child care costs more than rent.
Moms are quitting jobs they love because they can't even FIND child care.
And Republicans' response tonight? A blank check for ICE.
The measure failed on a tie vote, 49 to 49, because a majority of Republicans, even some from states waiting for their own rebuilding help, blocked that relief.
States across the nation are waiting on FEMA to deliver key funding.
I just offered a measure to force the release of billions of dollars that California and other states are waiting for to help with fire, flood and other recovery efforts.
I'm calling out Trump's corrupt water grab - a scheme to federalize the Potter Valley Project and sell off our North Coast water to southern California. I won't allow our water to be stolen and sold off this way. The fight is on, and we are going to win! www.pressdemocrat.com/2026/04/22/t...
Why the hell are Republicans prioritizing giving ICE and Border Patrol TENS OF BILLIONS more in funding when they are currently sitting on OVER $100 BILLION from last year? Republicans are choosing this over helping Americans with the cost of living crisis they’re facing.
Instead of listening to hardworking Americans and funding health care, housing, and education, what have Republicans come to the floor to do? Pass another mega bill that does nothing to help families make ends meet.
There has to be accountability.
Draft-dodging Donald loves sending other people's children to war.
I don't know if you saw, but JD Vance was in Georgia this week.
How much do you guys know about Jared?
How does American politics really work?
People across the political spectrum are feeling outrage that while families in Georgia are made to pay more and more for everything, the First Family is pocketing vast sums of money from all over the world.
The United States is still destined for greatness, but only united will we meet the challenges and seize the opportunities of our time.
No child in Georgia should have to go without a checkup or be denied the hearing or dental or vision or mental health care they need to be happy and healthy and to thrive.
They paused Oversight Committee hearings the minute we started getting answers about the Epstein files.
Now it’s “roundtables”: no rules, no oaths, no subpoenas.
You do the math. Because the moment accountability shows up, they shut it down. The survivors deserve better.
Today, Sec Bessent revealed that the Trump Admin plans to send BILLIONS of dollars to help other countries keep their economies afloat while ignoring needs here at home.
Once again, the 'America First' president is focused everywhere except the wallets of working Americans.
Instead of focusing on priorities people care about, tonight Republicans are using a procedural end-run to get around the will of the American people & stuff ICE & CBP with billions more of your taxpayer dollars.
