I was revisiting early album lyrics (because I need things to comment on the AMAs voting posts, lol) and I had not remembered that Joon used the word hooligan in his We On verse.

Someone please go back to 2013 and let him know he didn't just live up to his name, he became so much more 💜

BTS won AOTY in 2021 and it was truly a magical night 💖 Let’s get them another one 😊

You can see the same thing in Arirang, the influence of their solo albums, but it feels particularly clear to me in the way they’re doing the tour.

Adding to this because I figured out why it makes me feel so 🥺 and it’s because they are always BTS, seven is one and one is seven, even in solo era they never stopped being BTS, so of course you can see the growth and experience gained from their solo tours in this new group tour.

BTS are always going to go new places with their art but they are also always going to take what they've learned and bring it with them and I just think they're really cool.

Thinking about Arirang's staging and how it purposefully builds in moments of spontaneity and audience interaction like RunSeokjin and how it incorporates a lot of visuals that are simple but graphically striking like Hope on the Stage and how its structure is looser, with less choreo, like D-Day.

Sometimes I'll see a photo of Yoongi and vividly remember that one ARMY tweet (re: his mysterious and gorgeous photoshoot dumps c. 2022) that said something like "all I'm saying is that Helen of Troy was just messing around too and look how that turned out"

I have not stopped thinking about the progression from Joon's verse in Normal, with its hyperawareness of how Perceived he is and yet still unknown, to his verse in Like Animals, begging people (himself?) to speak despite how it may go wrong, to find the "beauty outside control".
