Start the week off properly with some Indiana football talk, as Taylor Lehman (@bytaylorl.bsky.social) joins GC to recap Indiana's title game win over Miami. We also look ahead to the 2026 roster #NeverDaunted 🦬 https://youtu.be/deJz0w7Difs

Hey folks,
After 4 college football seasons, Bite-Sized Bison will effectively be shutting down after Indiana's 2025 season.

Made this for a class and wanted to share:
Indiana drive progression and outcomes during the 2024 season, contextualized in one image.
I love Curt Cignetti’s commitment to leaving Big Ten Media Days as a headliner. Indiana needs that.
On a rewatch and had to chuckle at this
Last night as Bloomington kitties. Busy first 5 years of life!
Little Rock ➡️ Bloom ➡️ Indy
Recently wrote about how Curt Cignetti has sped up Indiana's recruiting pace. The difference is STARK, as shown in the chart.

ESPN's data visualizations on its tennis broadcasts are some of the network's best work these days.
Heard there’s a big game tonight
This game looks like it’s the featured event of a highly produced corporate retreat.
For Curt Cignetti
This year, folks donated $544 to this modest fundraiser. That’s a 93% increase from last year!
In total, it’s raised $826 between 2024 and 2025.
Thank you to those who’ve donated. Really means a lot to me.
It’s not my team, but I’ll always support the state on this stage 🤝
Pacers in 6.
What WOULD change if the SEC moved to 9-game conference schedules? I did the math. The difference isn't insignificant -- 1.5 fewer 9-win teams per year, 2 fewer bowl teams. And they should do it anyway because it'd be fun as hell. (And, yes, because of the money.)

This morning, I reached 49 miles!
This fundraiser is open through Saturday night, if you'd like to make a contribution.
Super proud of doing this for a second year and thankful to those who have donated.
Cumulative Expected Points Added for some* of the top returning QBs to CFB (ones that have a decent ish sample size). John Mateer has had a fantastic start to his career, can Cade Klubnik continue the upward trajectory?
This was a really great interview with Fernando Mendoza. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnTi...
44 miles!
38 miles down!

The Atlanta Dream seem legit this year
Honored to be in this starter pack and a few others, as an independent newsletter!
This is extremely important as Ben Johnson takes over as #Bears head coach: passing game EPA now matters more than turnover margin 🔊
A diagram of one iteration of Mesh.
Hi new followers! If you stick around, you'll hear about how much I love the Mesh passing concept (two crossers, an over route above them, usually a wheel or rail route from a running back). It's the best play in football. Here are the three worst reps I saw of it from NFL teams in 2024.
Discussed many of these topics on the latest CrimsonCast episode: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w3L...
Bison Bites: Dispatch 12
- Fernando Mendoza must (and probably will) improve deep-ball accuracy at IU
- Jonathan Brady brings versatility to slot WR
- Derek Owings got a raise
- Indiana is prioritizing in-state recruiting with this new staff

Indiana's Seismic Shift at DT
IU's defensive ID has long been at linebacker, but that is changing (and quickly so).
How Indiana built one of the most havoc-wreaking interior DLs in less than a year. And how that trend is continuing (FREE): bitesizedbison.substack.com/p/indianas-s...
Previewing 2025 Big Ten Offensive Lines
The portal is fairly dried up at this point, so which teams are in the best OL situations (I rank them 1-18), and what does that mean for Indiana?

Will Indiana reach 8.5 wins in 2025?
Using ESPN's most recent SP+ data, I calculated win probability and simulated 20,000 2025 IUFB seasons to determine the highest likelihood for win total.

There have been four new BSBs in the last 10 days, as we progress through the least interactive stage of the CFB calendar.
I'm going to link them below.
