indeed.. I understand the need to not leave a review section (aka weaknesses) empty if you didn’t love the overall proposal, but this surely can’t be considered the scientific merit weakness

I received reviews on one of my NSF proposals. Under Intellectual Merits, one of weaknesses mentioned is using the term “Research Aims” instead of “Research Objectives”. Why is this still a thing? How does that help improve the merits? Anyone else have similar experiences?
