My brain: Hmmm... Best I can do is 5 new characters that fit perfectly into existing plots.

I have an outline that maaaaaaybe covers only half of book one. My worldbuilding is full of holes I'm still actively patching. Half my characters don't even have names. The first two chapters plus about 5k of random scenes have been drafted thus far. What is even happening???

This story is itching to be written in weird ways. I'll write backstory, but then I'll get an idea for the outline and work on that for a bit, but then a scene or chapter will demand to be written, so I'll do that. Who knows how this'll look in the end...?

The WIP I'm dabbling in when my weird one isn't flowing is about two people who are in deep friend-love with each other (zero romantic feelings toward each other at any point in the story), and their dynamic has been so fun to write!

Chapter 4 just absorbed chapter 5, but it's fine. I've come up with a ton of new stuff for the middle, so hopefully I have enough plot still to hit something resembling 50k.
