Your assumption that I’m neurotypical is wrong, along with the rest of your assumptions

That’s a really horrible response. You have no idea who I am. I’ll chose to be compassionate rather than being mean back
I’ve never worked in trans services but I am a clinician and I’ve had trans patients and been cool with them. Sorry if you or people you know have had bad ones
Definitely - there’s a thing called diagnostic overshadowing which is when someone has one label, people often think *everything* is due to that label, when in fact people can have several things going on at the same time, all of which need to be identified
I don’t think you can coerce someone into an autism assessment - the waiting lists are unacceptably long though - there are biological brain differences for some trans people like sexually dimorphic nucleus etc… if anything that validates being trans I’d say
Thanks for agreeing with the logic. I do accept some people could exploit this in bad faith and hope that this isn’t the case too often
Cis Straight male and ADHD here - I accept you and hope it’s helps you understand yourself and feel happier ❤️
And that’s not to knock anyone who is genuinely trans, just that it’s not always the answer for everyone. Being gay is hard and being trans is even harder no doubt.
Anyway, just trying to be kind and open minded. Take care ❤️
But I do worry that some kids, especially girls, who don’t fit in with typical girls, might think being trans is the answer when being gay and/or autistic might be closer to what’s going on
I’ve got a friends daughter who is waiting for an autism assessment. Also thinks she might be non binary. Not sure who she finds attractive cos it’s not cool to ask 14 year olds that unless you know them very well. Kindness and acceptance is what’s important
I mean there could be some people who want to pretend it’s all autism and no one is trans, but these things aren’t mutually exclusive. We need to accept people whether they’re trans, autistic, gay or whatever
There are higher rates of being autistic and other sorts of neurodiversity in trans people though, and also higher rates of being trans in autistic people too, so it’s not completely daft to assess people for this. Pre-natal testosterone for example can affect neurodiversity and gender identify too
Probably should have tweeted about it earlier really 😂 what are people called Tweets on Bluesky anyway? Miaows?
It’s Pye Corner Audio that has be come to hear because of his track Storm Cloud in the YouTube video above @headtech.bsky.social is his handle on here and here’s the gig

Yeah it’s been fun so far. A welcome distraction from the real world
We have been watching all of the Star Treks, in chronological order of the in universe timeline, in an attempt to ignore the monsters (Trump and Musk). So far we are up to Deep Space Nine season one
Om nom nom…
Only if it’s a 30 min or less Power Nap. If you exceed 30+ mins you go into the deeper sleep phase and you’ll wake up feeling groggy #SleepNeuroscience
Sausage doesn’t translate well from one culture to another I don’t think. In Mississippi they have this brand of spiced sausage called Country Pleasin’ and it’s like if German and Italian sausages had babies. Nothing like it over here
I’m ok thanks - been diagnosed with ADHD recently, so am processing that but it makes sense of a lot of things. Work is ok and wife and dog are still lovely - how are you doing?
Good luck 🤞
Haha well for me that would be Characteristically Grumpy. Will see if ADHD meds help later this summer I think. Earl Grey Tea at 2pm seems to have the best effect so far though #MadSkyChat
Nope and I think they are still figuring out how it works. There have been studies here but it’s not legal medicine yet. There’s a documentary called Magic Medicine. It’s provisionally good for depression and end of life care #MadSkyChat
Oh, also I typed #MadSkyCat earlier and I had to ask the AI to draw me a Mad Sky Cat - here’s what it did #MadSkyChat
So I’m going to wait until I’ve done that before I try any ADHD meds. Am currently meds free after withdrawing from my citalopram last year #MadSkyChat
I could try meds. If I do it won’t be until July though, because in June I am going to Holland to do some psychedelic psychotherapy training. It’s a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psilocybin (magic mushrooms 🍄) #MadSkyChat
