I chose Gremlin for our black rescue kitty. Husband thought we should go more specific with Gizmo. I've come across so many Gizmos since then! I think I may just name my next one Cat. Chat if I'm feeling inspired.😄

In the semi-darkness of a forest cave glitters a treasure of glowing green: Schistostega pennata, common name 'goblin gold' moss.
It's glowing not because of luminescence or fluorescence, but because the moss has evolved a billion little lenses to capture & reflect light.

Sadly Voyager1 is glitching again. An allegory of the "Jaws" movie poster that caused damage and negative stereotypes to the image of sharks that persist to this day (I'm glad it's slowly changing, but it's still too slow to be considered forgivable). Now with a reversal of roles, with the human victim replaced by a simple wild shark and the terrible stereotyped shark replaced by a monstrous human skull seeming to want to devour the shark (this is the reality, we kill thousands of sharks every year, many of them killed for irrational reasons, who is the real cruel killer?)
This is a tribute to Peter Benchley, author of 'Jaws', who dedicated his life to reversing the unexpected negative impact his book had on the image of sharks.
