This is pretty amazing. Elite media are fully onboard with the bifurcated worldview: the right has no agency and can only respond to the left, yet also the right is the only side permitted to exercise power.

He is ANTI VACCINE and has been for decades. “Vaccine skeptic” is a media-derived term of art that misinforms your readers.
I think the Sphere section 405 guy made a good apology. No excuses, no “That being said, I WILL mention that…” Just remorse that I find credible. 🤷
Dude if he was taken out in a bag, he had no connection to reality at that point. The fact that you’ve never experienced his symptoms is irrelevant.
I think this scene is simply not immune to the society-wide derangement over covid mitigation. There was a time when I thought maybe we’d be the exception to something like that.
No question covid is worse than “wook flu” and it doesn’t help anyone to pretend covid is gone or not dangerous
And every time someone suggests it, over the past 20 years, they think it’s a genius solution that no one has thought of before.
That’s what I was thinking/hoping.
And I’d like to know if Sphere is as much of a covid cesspool as MSG
Covid is much worse?
Developed “in close collaboration with #Phish lighting designer #ChrisKuroda ... to ensure all lighting concepts remain authentic to the band’s DNA," the virtual #Sphere rig blends "unprecedented real-time interactivity with evolving visuals."
Get an inside look at the Sphere-oda rig:
Wook flu or covid?
This seems like a “Is this candidate appropriate, yes or no?” sort of yes/no question.
VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
Seems on point, though undersells that we’re now less prepared for another one, now that “opposing efforts to end it” is now considered just a normal political position that must be respected.
Tomorrow is Patriots' Day in Massachusetts, which means it's a good time to roll out this all-timer from our archives.
Thanks for the work!
Genuine q: Do you and yr editors think it’s best to report corruption but let others assign the (factually accurate) term, thinking it keeps you neutral? Because it doesn’t. By talking *around* it, NYT is actually indicating this is NOT corruption. Is that your intent?
I’m with you
Yeah I think some people are seeing the computer animation and wrongly assuming it’s AI.
Personally I think if Phish used AI for Sphere it would be a boycott worthy betrayal.
I think it’s easy to say that those records are less distinctive than the highlights of his oeuvre.
Nevertheless there’s plenty of other music that sounds like Sea Change and no new music that sounds like Odelay.
Re: the funding, they need to find a way around the illegal impoundments. I’m not sure what the answer to that is other than impeachment and removal.
Do we have evidence this is happening?
Yeah and people get excited about expressing (righteous) rage about our economic system when they see someone who doesn’t seem to get it.
I wish I made clear I wasn’t talking at all about airport arrival but IDing a useful-to-me concept. It’s Actually Not A Huge Deal can be an excellent lesson!
A+ 👌
You know what? I'm just not even going to run the Boston Marathon today.
Uh I’m not even sure which scenario you’re talking about w/r/t $150. I said in the thread that I’ve missed a couple flights and there were no fees but I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s changed.
Of course.
Wow!
I don't think there was any additional cost. But these incidents span from the late 90s to 2009. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a worse (and more expensive) experience now.
FWIW I believe I've missed flights thrice. (Once as part of a slow-moving group, twice by mixing up the departure time.) First time they put me up in a hotel for early departure the next day b/c it had left earlier than scheduled (or something?), the other times I just had to wait for the next one.
