Visited Ely Cathedral today. An incredible place and the octagon is a particular highlight.

Gotta wonder if it's a spot for cameras to catch the fly tippers
It's the track that goes down the side of Home Bargins off Southampton Road. Apparently it's private land and the council aren't interested in chasing.
There are about 15 cars there as well.
The fly tipping just makes me sad. I report it to the council and they just say "not our land, not our problem". There are barrels marked with labels showing the contents cause environmental damage. This field is next to the River Bourne.
@albayliss.bsky.social any thoughts?
Let's rejoin... Soon... Regain freedom of movement, remove trade barriers and boost the economy.
@fascinatinghorror.bsky.social have you ever looked into the Hillsborough Disaster? I grew up in the area and remember it vividly. I wasn't at the match. Another one that would be interesting to do would be the Bradford City stadium fire.
I love how your videos focus on fact without dramatisation.
I've only been to one #baseball game in my life. It was fun and I have good memories (though it did seem to take forever). Just found the ticket for it which is pretty cool ๐
Installed my new #BoschMicroplasticFilter for my washing machine. Was really easy. Done my first wash with it with it connected (with regular checks for leaks) and it already filtered out stuff and stopped it ending up in the water supply.
Ngl, shud do that ASAP. IMHO gud 2c em go, lol. ๐
Oooh, now that's interesting. I'd heard they also deliberately make the food inedible so that, for example, beggars can't take it from the bin?
Your talk was my favourite of the entire three days I've done at the festival. Thanks for such an amazing evening and I'm looking forward to reading the book now and passing it round a few people in the Salisbury LGBT group.
Thank you to @science.org
for this glowing review of The Sexual Evolution. Gratifying, validating, and thrilling.
Centuries of biology research has taught us that variation and variety are central themes of life. Why?
Because DIVERSITY WINS!

@nathanlents.bsky.social Thanks for the incredible talk at #CheltSciFest. Truly enlightening and really positive. Hopefully we can get people in power to start recognising diversity. It was me that mentioned meeting the couple from Florida talking about your president ๐
Mcdonalds sold their 33% stake in Prรชt in 2008 and they now have the Prรชt Foundation to redistribute food. Seems like they used to to that but have improved.

Nigel Farage says abortion laws are โutterly ludicrous.โ
MPs are watching.
We have days to show them: the public backs abortion rights.

So today this happened! Iโd like to congratulate Cllr John Wells on his election as the 764th Mayor of the City of Salisbury. I feel honoured to have been elected Deputy Mayor and look forward to supporting him in the coming year.
Awesome time at Dalemain. Beautiful house with an excellent tour. The gardens were beautiful. We finished off with afternoon tea and bought lots of delicious marmelade from the home of the 'international marmelade awards'.
Love the shirt!
Music is joy! #AGoodPlace

Would by a t-shirt with that on. I'm sure a whole range of t-shirts could be made @nationaltrust.org.uk
Today was a visit to the ruins of Lowther Castle. This was still the functioning residence of the Lowther family until 1936. In 1948, neck deep in gambling debt, the Earl auctioned off everything. He then ripped the roof off in 1954 and left the castle to ruin.
Beautiful day in Keswick with a walk along the edge of Derwent water.
The Temple of Apollo at Stourhead, a circular structure with a domed roof that's surrounded by columns and bears a passing resemblance to the Star Wars droid R2D2.
We've found the droid you're looking for at Stourhead in Wiltshire.

Also visited Brougham Castle, English Heritage. Fantastic castle ruins with amazing views and beautiful scenery.
Lovely visit to Acorn Bank @nationaltrust.org.uk today. The staff were amazing, excellent cafe and the mill was fascinating. The wild garlic and bluebells brought the woodland walk to life and an awesome bookshop as usual.
I reckon I could get away with wearing that outfit. Need to consider accessorising to match with my blue hair... But sure I could do it. Just need a ball to go to where capes are cool... ๐
This is about all of us. Never forget that.
๐
I'm wondering how many have done all three...
