Made adjustments to my stand and Leo donated one of his drumming stools, combined with a lot of YouTube has resulted in being much better on centering.

However, need to prep better and have tools and wedged clay to hand because once you start, everything is just messy!

Just at Uni Open day for my daughter in English Lit - they introduced “Thing Theory” - it immediately struck me as a potential model for looking at Human Machine Teaming (HAT) and classifying actors/agents. Something to think about on the way home.

Next steps in the journey - went to Pottery Crafts in Stoke with the “I want clay” request - staff were brilliant at helping me choose what I need (when I have no idea) and now looking forward to attempting to throw tomorrow :-)

Results of my first “Throwing” are in - I’m loving the pottery thing as a new hobby :-)

More lessons needed, and clearly the need to buy new things to support the new hobby

Ok, since all other social media seems to be failing their users, we're giving this one an earnest try.

@nickroome.com and @bazkirby.bsky.social gave some thoughts on how social media is changing on our latest episode.

How are you all coping with the flurry of changes?

Hi everyone - for her A-Levels, my daughter needs to know your views on #Vampires in #Literature - If you have 2 minutes could you possibly complete the following questionnaire :-)

Thankyou Lucy for an extraordinary interview via A Life in Pictures 🎞️ Lucy talked about her life and work in disaster planning, response and management. Like her book, it was moving, profound, and practical, moving between personal, social, organisational, societal and cultural spheres.

Depressing again to see Politicians trying to use Home Education as a scapegoat for a failing social care system.

I hope there are Labour politicians who will state the obvious - focus on making the systems in place work, rather than persecute families, then we will solve real problems!

I’m doing a few #HumanFactors presentations in the next two week to a variety of audiences - mainly as an intro to #HF - what would be the “one thing” you would want to know?

Equally, if you have a random fact that I should try and include (not necessarily on topic) - then I’m here for that too!

So that was a brilliant, high quality, #Strictly dance off - #Montell can leave with her head held high as she gave #Tasha a run for her money!

Can the voting public please stop messing around for next week please ;-)

Whilst I appreciate that #Strictly is a popularity contest with some dancing involved - this weeks dance off is just barking!

Apple Watch after being through the wash, still sort of working

Apple Watch after being through the wash, still sort of working

Turns out that an Apple Watch (version 1) doesn’t like going through the washing machine and dryer…

Whilst it sort of works, it very much is hanging together by wires etc. Still, not bad for being about 10 years old.
