Made adjustments to my stand and Leo donated one of his drumming stools, combined with a lot of YouTube has resulted in being much better on centering.
However, need to prep better and have tools and wedged clay to hand because once you start, everything is just messy!

Just at Uni Open day for my daughter in English Lit - they introduced “Thing Theory” - it immediately struck me as a potential model for looking at Human Machine Teaming (HAT) and classifying actors/agents. Something to think about on the way home.
Its a pottery wheel - a very basic and cheap one but will get me started :-)
Next steps in the journey - went to Pottery Crafts in Stoke with the “I want clay” request - staff were brilliant at helping me choose what I need (when I have no idea) and now looking forward to attempting to throw tomorrow :-)

Thankyou Lucy for an extraordinary interview via A Life in Pictures 🎞️ Lucy talked about her life and work in disaster planning, response and management. Like her book, it was moving, profound, and practical, moving between personal, social, organisational, societal and cultural spheres.
Depressing again to see Politicians trying to use Home Education as a scapegoat for a failing social care system.
I hope there are Labour politicians who will state the obvious - focus on making the systems in place work, rather than persecute families, then we will solve real problems!

Second event of the week was a presentation and discussion with members of Aerospace Wales and Space Wales about the value of Human Factors
Was fun to support the Human Factors Medical Network event yesterday, lots of people keen on getting Chartership through the CIEHF :-)
Well that was exciting - seeing the first “real” alert on the system.
Made all the more attention getting with everyone’s phone going at the same time.
Just had my #spotifywrapped for #1202Podcast - intersting to see the growth of Spotify, as a platform for podcasts, it has grown quite a lot to about 9% of the overall audience that consumes the output :-)

Apple Watch (v1 original) update - I don’t think it’s salvageable - though makes interesting art perhaps
I’m doing a few #HumanFactors presentations in the next two week to a variety of audiences - mainly as an intro to #HF - what would be the “one thing” you would want to know?

Apple Watch after being through the wash, still sort of working
Turns out that an Apple Watch (version 1) doesn’t like going through the washing machine and dryer…
Whilst it sort of works, it very much is hanging together by wires etc. Still, not bad for being about 10 years old.
