That U.S. Open Cup final had some of the worst officiating I’ve ever seen. Boooooooooo!
Good point. Maybe only hand them out as people are leaving after the final out?

Sure, peace is always toxic to civilizations. Pax Ro-who?
That bites!
Trump 1.0 threatened this stupidity and I’d hoped we’d dodged this bullet for good, but stupidity is back in style and a Blue Wave election may not come soon enough to rescue the butterfly center this time.

That’s cute. I’m not even Muslim, but I’m Tuberville’s enemy. He’s straight trash.

Probably it was apologists’ work, but I’ve heard the Karankawas slurred as indiscriminate cannibals while the Tonkawas’ human-eating was characterized as selective: maybe eating the heart of a brave but bested opponent? Fair distinction or made-up stories to protect old friends?
Interesting! And that linked site ends with links to other historical spots that are scattered across that immediate area. Quite the rich ground for study!
I remember a military historian characterized the glorious Battle of Gonzales (of Come and Take It fame) as a cavalry skirmish and also (I think) a draw. Funny what makes into the history books and how it gets portrayed.
Tribes had long memories and politics makes for strange bedfellows. I knew Comanches attacked the Tonkawas on their reservation in Indian Territory, but in 1862?! And the Tonkawas were pro-CSA?!

Gotcha. Cool shares!
I had heard about wartime Indian raids and wondered whether that was when Comanches raided clear down to the Gulf. Nope, that was 1840! www.tshaonline.org/handbook/ent...
Travis County voted against secession. German settlers and Black folks were pro-Union.
Could this be an Underground Railroad route? Some tribes in Indian Territory owned slaves and sided CSA, so was future Oklahoma any improvement?
Maybe it goes to Mexico? Treue der Union went down on that route.
We need a vehicle weight tax. If you can justify buying an $80k, 3,000 kg Wagoneer to haul one bag of groceries, taxpayers shouldn't be subsidizing your pavement wear and tear plus the added danger to our streets. If you can afford the payments, you can afford to stop asking society to subsidize it.

I suppose it’d be too on the nose if the shirt were an actual ringer?
Give us time. We have proven potential for much worse.
Thanks!
Prayer needs to be personal and private, so it plays no legitimate part in this anniversary shindig. I hope this event is separate of anything funded by my taxes or operated by our shared government.
So Rededicate 250 is what they’re calling the NASCAR race? The MMA event? Both?
