Digital illustration of a long-haired figure who has a bunny-like appearance. Two pairs of orange arms poke out from under the cape they’re wearing.
This thing from 2020 is simple, but I still like it!
God I love Darkplace.

My gf takes some kind of magnesium in relation to migraines. She hasn’t gotten nightmares by it, but she commented on it giving her quite vivid dreams and remembers them better than before. Magnesium does seem to affect dreams. At-least for some people.
An orange person with a blue fin on their head sits at a stone table in a shell-shaped chair, looking at a small light blue orb in their hand. A little six-inch tall figure stands in the foreground, watching them from across the table.
'Starwatcher III,' by Moebius. There's no larger story behind this one - it's from a series of three original silkscreen prints Moebius did for the French art publisher Aedena in 1986.

Visited 6 used/vintage shops locally today. Looking specifically for cool books. Bought exactly 0 copies. Quite a disappointing “haul”. Several of these places have essentially stopped selling anything but vintage clothing, and 75% of the books I did find were crime/detective/thriller kinda books…
Damn! Very much looking forward to diving into his Dying Earth books.

Vintage book by Jack Vance and Stanislaw Lem.
Vintage book by Jack Vance and Stanislaw Lem.
Three novels by Stanislaw Lem. The paper along the edge of the book is red.
Received some vintage copies of old sci-fi / fantasy today. Not read any of these previously. The Stanislaw Lem copies are particularly visually striking.
Atomic Children (1968) by Swiss artist, H R Giger (1940-2014), inspired by the intense fear of nuclear war and the effects of the atomic bomb which prevailed at that time.

Digital art resembling a religious icon. A fat copper dragonborn in white priest robes is painted against a metallic gold background, with an embossed gold halo behind his head. He has crocodile-like scales and glasses and is exhaling a puff of smoke as he holds his rosary beads in his hands. In the background is a red border and the letters AMTR.

Not bad!
I’m assuming there’s a slight chance to the line-up?
Advocate: J.K. Rowling uses Harry Potter wealth to fund anti-transgender organization.
You absolutely cannot separate the artist and the art without contributing to the persecution of trans people. Boycott everything Potter.

Weird picture of the day is a new, as yet unnamed, collage by Dan Johnson, all done with scissors and glue, which seems almost supernatural to me. It and a few others he's done may well be for sale on his anotherfinemesh.com website at some point.

#phantomsfriday Artist Serafino Macchiati 1861 - 1916 often depicted ghastly apparitions suggesting a wary interest in spiritualism. His otherworldly art implies a hidden world teeming with restless spirits in the comfortable surrounds of the bourgeoisie. (P.S He didn't invent Macchiato coffee)
