Seeing this for the first time. Nice! I look forward to trying it/following your progress.

This looks great. I'm saving it for when it's hopefully relevant to me (soon?)
Looks great! Def looks intentionally and well designed
For better or worse I definitely tend to do what you did.
If this came out today as a fresh new card what do you think it would cost? 1R + 2?
I've never seen this card before so thanks for sharing. I love abilities like these. Perfect ability/flavor synergy
Slick!
I will look into it, thank you!
Also, I want to make friending more private and intentional (maybe sharing a private code to 2-way link people) but with an option for making your account discoverable and able to be "followed.
Appreciate you!
No, it totally makes sense to me that it would be the best way to go.
Seeing you run into an error I didn't know existed got me thinking. I'm going to use this as my RSS daily driver and keep tweaking and iterating the UX and hopefully in a few months have something way more ironclad.
Thank you!
Ofc it is π±π It's working for me but I'll get it fixed!
I appreciate that input. I wasn't sure if people would want the 2 way sync or not but I'm happy to work on it.
Screen grab from Vercel analytics

One and two point four THOUSAND _PERCENT_ increase over last week. Which I'm excited about! but also it's just funny

Thanks :D
I guess fundamentally if the value proposition is there. And if the right things are gated vs perma-free
Really appreciate that!!
I have thoughts on how I might monetize CommonRSS on commonrss.com/pricing (instead of an actual pricing page.)
I'd sure love people's thoughts. I'm not sure if my plan is reasonable/worthwhile/etc

Oh, and I've added a bunch of features since I initially sent it to you! Including Feebin sync!
@chriscoyier.net I appreciate your fair assessment re: CommonRSS! And I agree with your point about quickly built apps and knowing if they are for real, for the long term.
Short answer: I'd love nothing more than to make it a thing!

OMG
commonRSS.com got mentioned in the latest episode of @shoptalkshow.com I just can't even believe it.

Idk but I love that character bebopping around
It really, truly, is nutty
Really appreciate your checking it out and replying! Your input is very helpful. I'm going to try to level it up and if I can I'll let you know
I'm thinking that with commonrss.com I want to change the "friend"ing flow to be more intentional. Like code based and no search for people. Only people youve intentionally linked with will you share notes and comments and stuff with

A couple days ago @chriscoyier.net mentioned wanting a more social forward RSS reader. I'm a longtime fan so here we are.
Chris, if you see this, I hope you like it!
I'd love to round it out with a permanent archive and other cool stuff.

Absolute best fonts for long form screen reading? (available free, that is)

I just want something I build to blow up enough that I have to move off of the free tier of the 19 different services I use π

People tell me that using an LLM to create code will rot my programming-language skills. So? We work in a changing landscape, and agility is essential to survive. My goal is not to be the best Python (or whatever) programmer on the planet.

As for multiple ideas idk. I guess I try to follow whatever is exciting me most. But also not let that derail me once I get to the boring stuff like setting up stripe and all that
IMO worry about nothing else until you have the core idea made and confirm it's still something you want to pursue. So focusing on just the easiest way to make it work. So no styles etc. I'd say if you're focused on that a lot of possible todos are able to be tabled, simplifying things.
The excitement of a new idea, a new project.... I can't quite say its addicting but damn it is great #solodev #buildinpublic #maker
I wish when I alt-tabbed my computer knew whether I wanted to switch windows or just back to the most recent browser tab
Iβd like to see an explicitly social-forward RSS reader. Like itβs encouraged to highlight passages and leave short comments. Your buds see yours, you see your buds.
