It’s either a Cooper’s Hawk or a Sharp-shinned Hawk; the differences are subtle. Probably the former; it’s larger and the tail looks like a Cooper’s Hawk.

When I was embarking on my first book of narrative non-fiction, I wrote
a proposal for publishers that cited three examples of the form that I thought beautiful and flawless. Two were "Soul of A New Machine" and "Among School Children." Tracy Kidder was a gentle, graceful master of the form.
In my mind, they’re all still little kids; S turns 26 in a couple of weeks and drops off my health insurance. How time flies…

Early models had terrible issues with brake balancing; the rear end would swing around under heavy braking. That’s how mine (a Pontiac Phoenix) was totaled - no injuries but a wild ride in the rain.
When we turn on the shower, our cat will run into the bathroom, put her head in the opening to the shower (a sliding glass door, not fully closed for her benefit!), and then, when (probably) a single drop of water hits her head, she shakes her head and runs off. Every single time.

Jeez, not a twin bill? Were I on that neighborhood I’d have a hard time deciding (and yes, I’ve seen you two on a twin bill, many years ago - what a great show).
