Lots of talk about audits recently. How about we focus on this!
Fixed-income seniors and working families should not be subsidizing wealthy private golf courses.

the job of a political party is simple - make every issue political, rouse political feelings among the population and use those politics as a way to motivate voters and attain power to improve things. the leaders of the dems do not understand these principles.
CM Lin if the city council can help in any way on this subject, I know a lot of people in Seattle would strongly support such a campaign.
Thank you Mayor Harrell đ
Trans right are human rights.
After immigrating, I only became politically active when Bernie Sanders opened my imagination of an American Left.
3 elections later, I am starting to see how that imagining is constrained by the Democratic party. Maybe even more so than by the other side.

Thank you Mayor Wilson â€ïž
Why are they mentioning "major zoning changes"?? What does that have to do with DESIGN review??
Not just a poll tax, but a shame tax. Fuck them.
I should buy a Douglas Fir.
3 rugs created for Sounders wins over St Louis, San Jose, and Colorado
Not sure if @soundersfc.com or @sounderatheart.com is tracking this, but someone on r/SoundersFC is weaving a rug for each Sounders win in 2026 and it is glorious.

A renter elected by renters, for renters.
Imagine hating half your city. Life must be horrible for you.
I just watched a powerful testimony from a lady who lived in Tacoma and commuted 2 hours everyday. Another from someone with a 5.5 hour commute (!!).
Seattle needs a major upgrade and I am very happy @mayorofseattle.bsky.social and @cmeddielin.bsky.social are leading the charge.
What are the specific amendments that TAS is advocating for to stymie housing?
Scummy is how I would describe it.
A truck overturned on that stretch not long ago. It is a terrible street that serves as a major thoroughfare between Ballard and the freeway/highway.

Seattle -@sharethecities.bsky.social has a great action letter you can share with the council in about a minute.
It hits all the big things we need to add to our growth plan. I wrote up its contents here at Rondezvous.
Please sign it and share it with your people!

The effect of renters finally outnumbering homeowners in the last decade.
Renters look at places like Wallingford and Laurelhurst and go "why the hell do you get to decide what gets built there?"

Having followed you and @theurbanist.org's reporting over the years and exchanged posts, I really really appreciate the level-headed and accurate reporting you all bring to urbanism in our slice of the world.
NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.
It's was always a little baffling that a middling (in every sense of the word) councilmember and 1st term mayor would be considered prime material for major national roles.
Let's embrace the moniker, we are special and our interests are special too.
Truly, truly selfish to not want dense housing next to a playfield.
Everything reminds me of him
I assume unincorporated roads are also the most useful to these non-Seattle cities.
âPiker is close to â but not over â the Nick Fuentes line, where going on his show itself is indefensible,â Third Way co-founder Matt Bennett, whoâs been sounding the alarm about Democratsâ affiliation with Piker, told POLITICO. Bennett added that Democrats âtake on all of his baggage if they donât overtly rejectâ him, which he said is âdangerous because it empowers the right and gives them an incredibly powerful tool to hit Democrats with thatâs very bad.â
third way is more of a liability to democrats than hasan piker. @thirdway.bsky.social and @thirdwaymattb.bsky.social are a right wing op designed to make the democratic party gop lite. and its precisely the kind of mealy mouthed garbage that lost the dems election after election.
Today, MSF is going public with something we've been fighting behind closed doors for months: Gilead will not sell us their new HIV drug, lenacapavir.
The sticking point isn't even price, they just refuse to sell.

Mallory McMorrow healthcare platform Healthcare Healthcare should be affordable and accessible no matter your job, income, or zip code. Iâll protect Medicare and Medicaid, lower prescription costs, create a public option, and fight to enshrine reproductive and mental health care as basic rights. Agenda Protect Medicare and Medicaid from the funding cuts weâre seeing from Donald Trump and the right-wing extremists Create a public option available to any Michigander who wants it, so that your ability to get guaranteed healthcare is no longer tied to your job, your marital status, or your luck Make prescriptions more affordable so they donât break the bank Treat mental health at the same level as physical health Reduce the maternal mortality rate Codify access to abortion, contraception, and the full scope of reproductive health care into federal law
Abdul for US Senate A Healthier America Abdul literally wrote the book on Medicare for All. And there is no one more passionate about the cause of guaranteed healthcare for every single American because no one should have to choose between getting the care they need or going into debt in the richest, most powerful country in the world. Abdul believes in expanding Medicare to cover every single American from cradle to grave while sustaining the option for workers to keep supplemental private insurance their unions or employers may provide. This would make Medicare strongerâexpanding the pool of young, healthy people paying into the system. As a nation, Americans hold more than $225 billion in medical debt. Abdul thinks it shouldnât existâand he erased it for upwards of 300,000 Michiganders in Wayne County. In the meantime, Abdul categorically opposes the privatization of Medicare or the attempt to cut Medicaidâwe need to expand guaranteed health insurance, not sell it off to corporations or cut it. And Abdul holds solemn the commitment we have made to our veteransâand believes in expanding and improving the VA, not cutting it.
If you want another damning contrast between Mallory McMorrow, and Abdul El-Sayed, Mallory isn't even for Medicare for all. Meanwhile Abdul is proudly advocating in favor of Medicare for all, and is endorsed by Bernie Sanders. The choice is clear. Abdul El-Sayed is the true progressive candidate.
