This is a remarkable podcast which I’ll admit was an emotional journey to listen to. The people involved, including the inspirational @Susanna Stanford have helped drive change in healthcare around safety, best practice and a woman’s right to be heard.
I love this quote from the report. Absolutely nails the issues I’ve seen in the last 19 years helping to improve healthcare. Getting the culture right is not easy, but it is the key to making a real difference to safety.
I’ve raised this with the CHFG Trustees as I know this actively discourages HF/E folk from getting into healthcare. Right now the NHS needs this expertise - especially with the drum beat about “technology”. It’s wasted without HF/E input.
Today is International Civil Aviation Day. Thank you to everyone in the aviation family who keeps us safe and secure. I feel grateful and humbled to be a small part of the most amazing industry.
Great work from colleagues, the value of “extra help” should be a new perspective (not just extra hands for workload reduction).
