The “singularity,” if indeed it is anything at all, seems to be an integrated surveillance and propaganda apparatus.

1/5. Orbán pioneered a model whereby oligarchs trade the fascist memes and electoral tricks they use to stay in power. He made Budapest a node between Moscow and Washington of the international far right.

The ideal amount of concern about imminent nuclear weapon use is zero.

We are not at zero. That’s all we know for sure.

Good article. I would however like to point out that many non-human animals are far better than humans at transmitting generational knowledge. Also land-grant colleges and universities for vocational ed were funded by the feds 50 years before the first business school

All Anti-LGBTQ Legislation Defeated in Georgia as 2026 Session Ends "Scapegoating LGBTQ+ Georgians is not a winning political strategy," said Georgia Equality's executive director.

Great news out of Georgia!

ALL of the 15 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have died as the Georgia legislative session comes to a close.

This was only possible with intense efforts from local LGBTQ+ activists.

BROWDER: Lifting sanctions on Russia and Iran makes no sense. I’m a financial specialist — I’ve never seen anything so senseless. Two evil regimes, Russia and Iran, are now getting more money for their oil. Something must be going on behind the scenes. Somebody’s benefiting.

JPII was the Husserl pope
Benedict XVI was the Habermas pope
Francis was the Levinas pope

Can't place Leo yet but I feel like there's a good chance he ends up being a certain kind of Heidegger pope re: the critique of technology.

Iran’s people were facing a horrible shortage of water before the war began. If we are destroying desalination plants and setting fire to Teheran we are committing unfathomable crimes.

The the people who rape children are not trying to distract you.
