A brown insect with an enlarged, helmet-like pronotum edged in bright red and clear wings with the bottom edge bright red and a blue patch near the head. The insect is standing on a leaf.
Super snazzy treehopper found in a shrubby patch along a roadside near a small stream. Check out the red racing stripes!

I’m grateful to the people of Canada for doing what they can to pressure the Trump administration via boycotts, and we’re planning to reallocate our tourism dollars to Canada this summer.

These kinds of profiles are insulting but make a lot more sense when you realize there are a lot of highly paid PR people that leverage their connections to place these kinds fawning coverage in the NYT and other national magazines. It's always been indirect pay to play for the wealthy.

A macro photo, side view, of a long, pale-colored moth atop a bright yellow flower against a blue sky background. The moth is mostly white with tiny dark speckles. It has long, thin antennae, pale blue eyes, and a pretty fringe at the trailing edge of its wings.
Micro-moths/micro-leps are catch-all terms for the precisely eleventy-zillion species (although experts say there may be as many as umpteen-gazillion) of tiny moths from various moth families. They're always worth a close look; zoom in for the lovely blue eye. (Anza-Borrego Desert, CA) 🌿🐙 #Bugsky

That video of Melania with the robot. I have questions. Like ... which one is supposed to be the AI 🤖?
Black and white photo of two short haired cats on a bench. A tabby looks disapprovingly at the camera while a black and white cat looks disinterestedly off to the right.
You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting. Photo from my collection, no date/info.
I mean, not in every sentence...but a judicious/apt use of adverbs? Sometimes it's exactly the way to describe something (or someone).
Thank you 😂
Congratulations and well deserved - looking forward to seeing it:)
“One of the great weaknesses of our era is we get lone superhero movies that suggest that our big problems are solved by muscly guys in spandex, when actually the world mostly gets changed through collective effort, more like caregiving than it is like war.”
