My Mom hadn’t had anything to eat or drink for days before she died. Apparently at like 3am on the day she passed, she randomly woke up and asked a nurse for a piece of cake.
And that’s the most ‘my Mom’ thing she could have possibly done. She was barely alive, but still asked for cake. 😅🥲
I've heard nurses I've worked with say such things. I always think, "Just hold on, your time is coming."
When I was working in long-term care, we had a patient who had breast cancer, and she wanted pancakes for Christmas. One of the other nurses made them for her and brought them to us on Christmas morning. The patient died shortly after.
What a beautiful sight! Look at these rows of fruit and so expertly cared for. Think of the beautiful beings bringing this about. This, which we so greatly take for granted. In so many ways, it truly could be poof-gone. Number one, we owe it to those who get food to our mouths each day! 🙏❤️👊
