Loving the programme and to hear the music that has inspired you and accompanied some of the key points in your life. An honour to listen 😊
Good point… I’m probably old school, I check in case something comes in that is an emergencey of some kind, and am surprised that emails are there that aren’t…
over Christmas week I had 6 requests to review journal articles and now the reminders are coming in. We do need to sort this out and respect the space people need rest and love the other parts of their lives #academicchatter any thoughts?

Passionate about #eatingdisorder research and looking for a #PhD? I have a self-funded PhD available looking at the multifaceted impact of technology for eating disorders. Lots of scope to shape it to suit your own interests in this area 😊 #cyberpsychology www.findaphd.com/phds/project...
absolutely, I would really welcome a conversation about how can we keep ourselves and our newer colleagues well to keep on doing a job which does elevate the voice of people who face worse than we do.
This is something we should talk about more and feel OK in that. Research that records distress and injustice takes a toll. It would be great to create a network in this. Great point made, don’t let worry be the point of departure, but the point of reaching out. Wishing you the best.
I agree, it’s tricky to handle in a group, and some published evidence of this reaction would be useful to have in your back pocket

@agreenpsych.bsky.social good to see you here Andy 👋
Have thoroughly enjoyed Airhead by @emilymaitlis.bsky.social a glimpse behind the news, and a full account of the toll the job takes along with the rewards it brings. An extraordinary life
I was there last night as well, incredible, never felt the power of the supernatural in that play so much, that the power was dark, manipulating the Macbeths into appalling action.
The brilliance of the performances helped me understand as if it was in modern English. Best thing I’ve seen this year
