This is completely disgusting. UPenn was afraid of losing funding, and they've decided humiliating Lia Thomas is a worthy price to pay to save themselves.

Lia Thomas did nothing wrong. She followed the rules and competed fairly and honorably. UPenn's leadership are cowards.

Concentration camps with no privacy, guarded by the military, in terrible climate, on indigenous lands. This happened to Japanese Americans. And of course indigenous peoples were “removed” to reservations, that is to say, camps. This is who we always have been as a country.

as much as I like my congressman, and as much as the Democratic Party chases polling, it’s confounding why the very unpopular immigration enforcement regime and the fact we’re building concentration camps is not at the top of this list

Shame on Planned Parenthood of Arizona for dropping their trans patients because of threats from Trump.

What happens when they make you stop providing abortions? Birth control? PReP? Gonna roll over then too?

These orgs complying are cowardly.

Here is a bit more about the author of the law that Rubio is saying that he is using to combat antisemitism. It removes the need for the Sec of State to provide any sort of justification for deporting people he sees at odds with the foreign interests of the US.

Seniors Are More Conservative Because the Poor Die Off Sometimes older voters aren’t just naturally more conservative. It’s just that wealthier and whiter people tend to live longer and healthier lives.

Hey, just a quiet reminder: it’s not true that people get more conservative as they age. *Populations* get more conservative as they age because poor and marginalized people die sooner.

The alliance between @POTUS and President @nayibbukele has become an example for security and prosperity in our hemisphere.

Rubio on X: Last night, another 10 criminals from the MS-13 and Tren de Aragua Foreign Terrorist Organizations arrived in El Salvador.  The alliance between @POTUS and President @nayibbukele has become an example for security and prosperity in our hemisphere.

Marco Rubio just announced 10 more people were sent to be imprisoned in CECOT. They were flown there from Gitmo to be imprisoned potentially for life based not on any crime for which they were convicted, but on unproven allegations of gang membership with no due process.

This is not lawful.

I reported on economics full-time in 2020. It taught me there are no incentives to have a baby in the US. Women in the US have to pay for pre-natal, medical and child care, earn less, do most of the parenting and chores, get promoted less, and are now at 27% higher risk of maternal mortality.

Perioidic reminder that the reason you didn't see autistic people with intellectual disabilities on the street five decades ago was not because they didn't exist. It's because they were sent away to institutions and their parents were told to put away pictures of them.

This is, in addition to very obviously denying people benefits and clearly excluding the vast majority of seniors, a violation of federal law on accessibility, especially since X requires users to log in and agree to the terms of service to see published content.

Trump’s budget plan eviscerates weather and climate research, and it could be enacted immediately | CNN The cuts could cripple US industries — including agriculture — that depend on free, accurate weather and climate data and expert analysis. It could also halt research on deadly weather, including seve...

Trump is destroying US weather forecasting and research because he dislikes the word "climate":

"While the phrase 'climate change' refers to manmade influence on climate via planet-warming pollution, 'climate' in NOAA parlance is simply weather observed over time..."
