Our 19th edition finishes today with one final slice of Spanish genre perversity: Bigas Luna's CANICHE (1979), 16h30 at Cinematek (zoophilia alert!); & our closing film, 18h30 at Cinema Nova: Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke's A USEFUL GHOST: delightful supernatural whimsy - with a devastating payoff.

THE FURIOUS! I wanted this for @offscreenff.bsky.social (though it's not strictly an Offscreen kind of film) but it wasn't to be. Kidnapped kid = that's the plot. Trailer makes it look brutal, but MVP is fight choreography which you don't see that much of here: INCREDIBLE. Best since THE RAID!

So glad I took a chance on there still being tickets for Hard Target at Cinematek tonight. An amazing film to round off my @offscreenff.bsky.social experience for this year.
