Question. Answer. Question. Answer. It's not rocket science. Why don't political tv debate shows have a rule preventing people shouting over answers? If we can't hear the answers what's the point?

Ah, but they do! They are reliant on 2 Reform defectors- one ex Labour and one ex Tory on Fife council to maintain their position as ruling party. Unionists including Reform = 37, SNP =35. Sarwar is perfectly happy about that! 🤥

If it's not true, it's easy enough, surely, for Anas Sarwar to issue a statement saying his branch office of UK Labour will never collaborate with Reform?

Trump warns US-UK trade deal ‘can always be changed’ with relations in ‘sad state’ President says he gave Britain ‘better deal than I had to’ but ally was ‘not there when we needed them’ on Iran

when is a Trade Deal not a Deal?

when it "can always be changed."

in Trump's world, his signature on a Deal is simply worthless. his mindset is that of a fraudster and a gangster. UK should have nothing to do with this preposterous cartoon villain.

Labour is in damage limitation mode, denying Offord's claim Sarwar offered to do a deal with Reform. If Offord's claim was in isolation, Labour might be on stronger ground dismissing it as a lie, but there have been multiple reports from independent sources that Labour would do a deal with Reform.

Yes. He bears a good share of the blame for where Labour are, but he’s far from alone in that and they’ll try to pin it all on him rather than deal with their issues.

Donald Trump is killing real schoolgirls in Iran and kidnapping and murdering real Americans in the streets. Interesting that the only thing he’s done that went “too far” for MAGA was an *imaginary* image. What a ridiculous world we live in.

The biggest story in Scottish politics today is Malcolm Offord's claim that Anas Sarwar approached him offering a deal between Reform and Labour to keep the SNP out of power. The Scotsman and even BBC Scotland news have it as their lead story, but The Herald seems to be doing its best to ignore it.

The breathless way that UK media covers the radicalisation of unionism is just astonishing

If Reform are allowed to become the standard bearers for unionism in Scotland then unionism will absolutely deserve to lose.

Lads, in 25 years you will be writing books asking "Why did the Union end?" after having spent decades sane-washing Reform and making them the lead unionist party.

It’s more than that. Acting foolishly suggests it might be fixable by not acting foolishly - but it’s defined who Labour are now. Another untrustworthy party of the right.

It’s not just selfish -it’s a complete breach of the Budapest Memorandum in 1994 when the US and others encouraged Ukraine to give up its nuclear arsenal in exchange for these countries guaranteeing Ukraine’s borders.

The US is duty-bound to assist in Ukraine’s defence or its promises mean nothing.

We can't be complicit in Donald Trump's war crimes.

His military must not be allowed to use Scottish infrastructure for his illegal wars.

Sarwar burnt his boats over Starmer resignation call. This is a last desperate roll of the dice to try to save his career. It won't go down well with his UK Labour head office at all, so its failure will end his political career.

The Reform leader in Scotland has just said in a televised debate that Labour approached him about working together against the SNP. That’s Labour further still beyond the pale.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy: “If there is a pro-independence majority in parliament, should the London government grant a referendum?”

What is the London government? A Freudian slip perhaps, but very telling in that it shows how the establishment media think and feel about Scotland

In 2013 Sarwar claimed whilst an MP at Westminster, that Scotland wasn't a democratic place - due to the fact we'd had the audacity to vote the SNP in with a majority. Now he's trying desperate measures - supping with the devil - to try to stop us doing it again.

Anas Sarwar accused of 'being in cahoots with Nigel Farage'

Lord Offord and Nigel Farage are trying to spread their poison in Scotland. I will have absolutely none of it.

We are focused on what actually matters - helping with the cost of living, improving our NHS and treating all people with dignity.

Labour can’t be trusted not to do a deal with Reform I don’t usually pay too much attention to leaders’ debates in the run up to elections. They are invariably too shouty with the leaders vying to talk over the top of each other. Anas Sar…

My latest blog piece. With the revelation from Malcolm Offord that Sarwar approached him suggesting Labour and Reform work together, it's now clear, Labour cannot be trusted to keep out Reform.

Channel 4 Leader's Debate, moment of the campaign so far.

Offord says Sarwar says he's a racist in public, but claims in private he wanted to work together to defeat the SNP.

If this is true, Sarwar's integrity is shot.

Who would vote Labour to get Reform?

🔐 Vote SNP on May 7th to lock out Reform.

Malcolm Offord has claimed Anas Sarwar “bounced up to him” in Paisley Town Hall at the start of the election campaign and said “we need to work together, Reform and Labour, to remove the SNP”. Sarwar hasn't denied the claim. Labour is so right wing it's willing to cooperate with the far right.

Westminster politicians do not care about Scotland and think they can ignore the voices of people in Scotland.

Let’s prove them wrong on May 7th. #BothVotesSNP

Labour people, if this is true, in any way, then Anas Sarwar MUST be removed from his office. Posthaste.

For American friends: this is Britain’s most bat-shit crazy rightwing newspaper. It’s Fox News with ink. And even it now thinks yer man is out of his fucking mind. Trump has lost all international support. Send that message to your friends and family, Americans. He is leaving your country isolated.
