Stipend contract workers are drug and alcohol free and on a path of sobriety and recovery. Many of our stipend contract workers have once been unsheltered and were once in active addiction.
Help us raise $25,000 by April 30 to support the stipend contract workers who provide support to the unsheltered relatives during breakfast meal program, Tuesday resource connect and warming center.
Introducing: O’babenimaawaan, or “They Care for Them,” where individuals can start as an unpaid volunteer, then move towards a stipend contract worker, and later a full time employee.

Almost a year after it formed, a major homeless encampment in St. Paul has remained relatively clean and calm, with dumpsters to keep trash in check, portable toilets for residents and frequent visits from outreach workers who try to connect camp residents to services.

Frey’s proposed 2026 budget defunds them, but emergency housing vouchers are funded in the 2025 budget; MPHA implemented the operational needs to get vouchers out in Q3 for resident use. It’s now Q4 & sitting in CPED. 100 vouchers could be in use right now: 50 for single residents, 50 for families.
