Both times I have owned it have been the shortest time I’ve had nearly any other system. There are some cool games on the NEC PC-FX, but nothing Earth-shattering for action game fans.

Going to stream on YouTube in a short bit for the first time in many months. I want to show off the DOOM maps I've been working on, and want to show the easier difficulties of Afflicted, which I've done previous LPs on. I'll post the link here in the comments of this post when I go live.
Day 2 of asking everyone to go subscribe to @patrickhwillems.bsky.social on YouTube because he deserves a million followers and a Hollywood contract. I think we can change the first one, so that way he can get the second one. DO IT!!!
Ended up finishing the hard route of Star Fox 64 last night. I don’t recall doing that back in the day. The normal route is generally pretty easy and near the end of this run I couldn’t figure out why I was struggling so much.. turns out I triggered the more difficult pathway. Oops!
Really loved this game back in the day. Played awesome with a steering wheel, too!
New song made with SchismTracker. A couple hundred k of big beat. IT file should be up on modarchive before long.
I have it yet haven't messed with it yet. Will do soon, thanks for the reminder!
Twin Eagle is honestly one of the most bland shmups on the NES. I.. kind of like the arcade game. This is not that, haha.
I disagree with this one both in general and on principle.
On principle because *nothing* is obsolete. There's no such thing. Any game mechanic or gimmick or idea can shine in the right context, and for the right player. There is no universal truth of Correct Game Design.
Yeah.. I can probably actually agree with that (though I'd personally side with the original Raiden, but biases and all, yo...)
WTF is "phylactery"? I feel like every year is a new era of using words people generally don't know even exist, just to sound special (when it's completely unnecessary).
PS5 is a way better PS4.
Streaming as in.. to Twitch? Or some remote play-like functionality? If to Twitch, you’ve been able to do that since Xbox One and PS4.
Happy to finally announce this! It’s been a privilege to work with such a beloved brand. Especially cool to bring back one of the best arcade beat-’em-ups ever (with rollback netcode courtesy of our amazing partners at Komi Games). Excited for folks to be able to play this…soon!
This one hits hard.
I am looking to re-home my two cats, as my living situation will be changing and they won't be able to come with me. If you know anyone that adopts or fosters, please pass them on:
Milo (7, male) - home-home.org/pets/ecce0bd...
Patchouli ("Patchy", 12, female) - home-home.org/pets/3f74b3c...
DAMN... I think I dropped out of DT before that. Nice!
Unreal Tournament 2004 is now available for free.
...well, I mean, you probably could've grabbed a GOG offline installer out the back of a truck earlier, but NOW it's Official/Legally Free and has the in-development community patch packed in for ongoing support. www.oldunreal.com/downloads/ut...
Before you know it, a 30 billion game will feel disappointing. 🙃
It's time I introduced Bluesky to my favorite Final Fantasy 7 Glitch. Anyone can do this on the original PS1 copy.
Swapping to Disc 2 early, prior to entering the Ropeway to the Golden Saucer for the first time, leads to this amazing FMV + Music combo.
Nearing the 15 year anniversary of Kris and I's ancient IMPLANTgames Podcast, we caught back up a couple days ago and put together another catch-up podcast session. Check it out here: youtu.be/KcFOxu9-pBE
Many years of wear and tear, cracks, duck-tape and feline spray later, it’s time to toss it. 22-ish years of use, and it didn’t cost a dime. Might have to look into if they make similar setups, even if they are expensive… you save a TON of floor space by stacking upwards like this.
They were throwing out most of their old racks and whatnot to make for a new remodel, so I took it home. It holds 300+ standard jewel cases and it has been a massive help in storing much of my PC and retro gaming items that came in that format over the years.
Time to say goodbye to this awesome vertical CD rack. I got this in 2004 when working at Electronics Boutique (EB Games/EBX).

I believe “Super Chats/Thanks” are turned on for my YouTube videos, but I shut down paid sub options like Patreon last year.
Thank you!
Thanks man! Appreciate it.
