I would like Congress to get 3 weeks PTO per year and not have breaks. This is your full time job, work it the way we all do.

I do believe it was Haggarty's. Loved their chicken jalfrezi.
Portland folk. Back like 20 years ago there was a Brit-Indian place out on Forest Ave that was fucking amazing and I miss and I can't remember the name. WTF was it?
Am I annoyed? Yes, because once I get to Boston I have to catch a bus to Portland and then Uber home. But I looked at my options as an adult and this is still the best one. It's FINE.
American Airlines PHL > BOS has been delayed twice so far and had 2 gate changes in 20 minutes. Latest gate didn't even know and said the plane isn't working. Bold move making Bostonians trying to get home mildly inconveniences.
Screenshot of the Lyft app showing two options - pickup in 6 minutes or 7-20. Savings for choosing to wait longer: $0.50
I don't mind waiting sometimes, but how is $0.50 supposed to incentivize me?
Gosh, I love FOW. I'll support them continuing, but I will never get over the loss of Adam.
Definitely chosen for the nostalgia here. l grew up with the black and white plates of the 80s. And definitely agree that the 1901 image was already overdone by the time it got to the plate.
"we want smart well adjusted kids"
how dare you
They may also receive a monthly housing stipend equivalent to the average 1 bedroom rate in the DC metro area, adjusted annually.
Congressional representative salaries should be capped at 1.1x the national average and only allowed 3 weeks PTO plus normal public holidays.
I actually just watched this again recently. It wasn't as great as I remembered, but it was still a fun 90 minutes.
Such a great cover.
Where there's a will, there's a way.
Raye's new album must be the big release this week, right? Why do none of the Portland-area Bullmoose stores have it in stock? WHY.
While some areas are better than others, we don't have any sort of national train system so it just isn't convenient for a lot of people. I just checked on pricing for me to get from Maine to New York (easy 7 hour drive). Flying is about $100 more than bus/train and saves 6-7 hours of travel.
My kids call it the butt and will never touch it.
Since fucking Moby has everyone talking about it, there's no way this line on all the lyric sites is right, right?
"I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola "
"Dark brown voice"? I always though it was "back room voice" just meaning low, private, husky.
We also just started a rewatch! Tried to get my 19yo to watch with us, but she wasn't interested. I get it. Not really a show that you can use as background while you stare at your phone. It takes some attention and commitment.
Every time I see him, I have to remind myself that the actor's name is KARL Urban ... not KEITH Urban. Totally different dudes.
Yeah, I have a real hard time with that song now.
That shit is catchy as hell. I always gave it the benefit of the doubt that the "cry out" was a terrible phrase for noises of ecstacy.
I find My Sharona by The Knack way more offensive and gross.
Never gonna stop
Give it up
Such a dirty mind
I always get it up
for the touch
of the younger kind
I've hit midlife, so I have started writing letters of complaint freely.
The harder a site tries to get me to create an account, the less I trust them. Looking at you NYT Games.
Either I'm going crazy, or Fennec has been switching back and forth between the UI I'm used to and a new "more modern" UI. I don't HATE the new one, but I can't deal with not knowing what I'm going to get when I open my browser.
I've always been pretty ambivalent about Gorillaz. They're fine. Albarn is fine. Doing my weekly perusal of new releases, I out on The Mountain and really loved it. Going to spend more time with it this week and maybe work my way back.
The only reason I sometimes track what I read is because I'm an idiot with a shit memory and it's nice to have a record for my own reference. But I'm not sharing it and don't really care how many or few books I (or anyone else) finish.
