Will I see you at Arts for LA's State of the Arts Summit this week? This year's theme is "Roots, Recovery & Regeneration." 🎋 Catch me on October 8 moderating this panel of powerhouse local activists called Rooted in Resistance — Grassroots Power 💪
Happy Pride to all the little gay people in my phone 🌈

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of taking a shift at the typewriter with Pride Poets for West Hollywood's Pride Arts Festival, and got to write some poems for queer strangers on the spot. I love getting to make someone's day by creating something special just for them 🥹
BREAKING - "You haven't said the word trans yet" - Video depicts protester calling out Rep. Laura Friedman for silence and complicity on anti-trans violence

Trans Day of Trying to Write How I Feel About Being Trans in 2025 and Rewriting The Post Something Like Twenty Times Because it Never Conveys the Right Kind of Exhaustion I Feel on a Daily Basis
Do you ever just physically feel the weight of the world on your shoulders
Perks of being masked on the bus: no one can see me aggressively lip syncing to the niche musical selections in my headphones 😷🎧🎶
Had a blast recording this episode with @heathlambert78.bsky.social to discuss the wildest film project I’ve been in yet: Cinema Epoch’s BABY CAT! 🐾 👩❤️💋👩
Oh the plot was ALL over the place — a colleague of mine described it as bad fan fiction. I posted a 10 minute review on my Instagram stories so people could know what happens without having to put in any effort or money
Obligatory disclaimer that I saw the show for free dressed in my transiest trans attire, no TERFs were supported in the making of this post 🏳️⚧️
Harry Potter & the Cursed Child was assigned play at birth but very clearly identifies as a musical, I hope Joanne knows just how transgender this is
I’m down! The director Scott is also interested if you want me to connect you ☺️ Let’s connect over DM to hammer out the details!
Here is the link they shared during the meeting to a recorded training! The most important things I learned start about halfway through the video, slides are in Spanish & English.

Was on a virtual training to recognize undercover ICE agents today and the language used sent chills down my spine — “Police terror.” “Occupying army.” “Kidnappings.” “Assassinate citizens.” Like… those words are correct. That is exactly what’s happening. Call violence by its ugly name.
Wait omg this is me actually - @lasertheboy.bsky.social let’s talk about my trans one act musical! (Ty for the tag Michaela 🩵)
Ahhh I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun making it with the Cinema Epoch team ☺️

I have friends living with HIV and have been grateful for the level of care they can receive in the modern era, but am extremely aware of how “post HIV” implies everyone can access & afford care for the condition
It’s true that we’re approaching a cure for HIV and I’m so excited! The first confirmed case was also in 1959 in the DRC (not the 1980s in the US as is commonly believed) and it has taken more than 60 years for us to accomplish this much. COVID is 5 years old and we are extremely far from a cure 😷
I told my new speech therapist (treating me for a vocal injury) that I mask everywhere and she said “wow that must be hard for someone so young “… Like, no it isn’t? Wearing a mask isn’t actually a big deal? The world has been actively collapsing since the moment I gained sentience? What else is new
Saying “post COVID” is like saying “post HIV” — just because it’s not currently affecting you personally doesn’t mean it stopped destroying lives when the protective orders lifted. It is painful to be told one’s circumstances are a thing of the past; long COVID isn’t going away anytime soon.

LA residents - I assume we're all using the excellent Watch Duty app. If you pay the very reasonable fee to become a member you not only support the app but get some neat features like seeing where all the fire planes and choppers are. 👨🚒 ✈️ 🚁
Gods bless my coworker who looked at my pronouns mask, BMO hat, & sock scarf and said “If anyone misgenders you in that outfit, I will slap them across the face….. with my words”

A black cat named Columbia lays sleeping on a blanket. She is sprawled with her chin up in a cute position that exposes her tummy.
Loving and being loved by an animal is so cool because even though you can never truly speak the same language you still find a way to understand and take care of one another — you literally communicate with love 🥹 🐾
